MEET THE BLACKWOODS

Graham Blackwood -- Horas' cousin, youngest of the three Blackwood brothers. A bit of a fool and a drunkard, but good with a bow.

Ryan Blackwood -- Regent of Raventree Hall. A practical man who does not much like his duties but will do his best.

Terrence Blackwood -- Current lord of Raventree Hall, a happy little kid.

Daeron and Catelyn Blackwood -- The twin children of Horas Blackwood by Jenny Tully. Wards of Aranya Royce. Daeron has an attitude problem.

Torrhen Keath -- An axeman who works for Horas. Quiet, but with a temper. Exiled to the Wall. (CURRENT THIRD)

Marei Swiftwaters -- An unassuming young girl who works closely with Lord Blackwood. Appeared a few years ago and stays out of the public eye when possible. (CURRENT SECOND)

Lord Tristane Ryger -- A fierce, hawk-nosed old veteran. Skilled with spear and bow. Exiled to the Wall.

Jack "Quickjack" Rivers -- Formerly one of Horas' guards, now the leader of a growing gang in King's Landing. Killed by a coalition of rival gangs.

Ollo Tregario -- A wealthy merchant of the free city of Braavos. Assassinated in his manse by a faceless man.

Lord Warren Blackwood -- Horas' cousin and the current lord of House Blackwood. A practical man and a skilled warrior. Assassinated by a Faceless man.

Cinnak Xhan -- A Qartheen assassin, slain in the Free City of Braavos.

Ser Brandon Rivers -- Horas Blackwood's guard captain. Dutiful, but perhaps overly stiff. Killed in the Coup of the Kingdom.

[Horas]

Ser Kennos Keath (b. 487 d. 517) -- Called the Demon. Kennos Keath was a living legend, regarded as one of the very best swords in Westeros. The list of men he defeated in single combats includes some of the most renowned knights of Westeros -- Tallahar Tyrell, Eddard Tully, Timm Dayne, Miles Oldflower, and more.

Arrogant, crude, and fond of provoking fights, Kennos Keath was not well liked by his peers. This never bothered Kennos fucking Keath (as he was like to call himself); he never desired the affection of others, only their respect.

In his youth Kennos fought as a mercenary, and he later joined the Blackwoods in their uprising against the Tullys in the War of Stag and Dragon. For his early success in battle, Kennos was given a job as the guard captain of Horas Blackwood. While one could scarcely think of two more different men, some say that they struck up a friendship. Whatever the case, Kennos left Horas' service after attacking and defeating Ser Miles Oldflower and Lord Eddard Tully in the streets of King's Landing.

Ser Kennos declared himself King Kennos and went on to form an outlaw band, joined by other notorious contemporaries like Tomas Clegane the Wild Dog and Ser Erik Tyrell the Oathbreaker. When Aranya Royce set out with a party of goldcloaks to hunt him down, Kennos personally defeated the wildling and her two best knights. Later, Ser Kennos defeated and captured Ser Kit Kidwell.

Kennos Keath's death came when Ser Kit Kidwell attempted to escape. Despite having dozens of men at his disposal, the Demon elected to fight Kid Death one on one. The two men clashed, but ultimately it was Kennos Keath who fell.
