Brynden looked the small prince up and down. "Small pups should know better."

Rodrick shows his teeth to Brynden and barks a couple of times, "This little doggie can bite haystack. You want me to bury your bones?"

Brynden laughed. It was a good-natured laugh, genuinely amused. "You're all right. You have ironborn friends, don't you? A few weeks ago there were stories about you getting into a skirmish on one of those pirate's longships. Was it fun? Sailing isn't as fun as riding, but whatever floats your boat." He winked.

"I ride like a demon as well." Rodrick laughed and winked, "Just ask my Girl friends Anne. And I almost took Lord Harlaw's Iron Price from him. I would have renamed it, The Horns of the Stag." He smiled warmly.

Ser Mychel walked into the room, and froze in place upon seeing the king. He had just been exploring the White Sword Tower at Lord Commander Benfry's suggestion, to acquaint himself with it, and had wanted to see the White Book.
"Greetings, your grace, it is my honor to meet you," he said softly as he fell to his knees. He bowed his head, because even on his knees he was taller than the King.

Rickon looks at the man and says, "It is a pleasure to met any Brother of the White. What is your name, and where are you from?"

"I am Ser Mychel Hill, your grace, of the west as my name suggests. My father is Randwin Lannister, brother to the esteemed late Lord Baldwin. I was the master-at-arms of Faircastle for twenty years before I came to the capital to enter your service, and if you wish I believe that I can teach you many things about the sword. I have heard you have begun your training already, and are prodigiously skilled," Ser Mychel said, with a smile.

"I am hardly that skilled Ser." Rickon's eyes studied the knight. "I will gladly take lessons from you. But not at the moment I am busy. Thank you."

"Yes, your grace. I will leave you your your studies." He nodded respectfully to the Prince of Storm's End, and to Ser Benfry's squire, and then left the room, in search of the Steward's offices.

He smiled warmly. "Who's Anne?" Brynden asked, with a sparkle in his eye. "You almost stole an ironborn ship?" Brynden looked impressed. "I would have loved to see that."

Rodrick shook his head, "I failed. Not much to see. Anne Varner, she is my girlfriend." He smiles thinking of her.

Brynden burst out laughing. "Lady Anne?" he said scornfully. "The Weasel's widow?"

Rodrick nodded, "She left to take care of her children, but our love will not be denied."

"Aye," said Brynden seriously. "And I'm the champion of Lady Benedicta Lannister, though Lady Jeyne fights with her over me."

Rodrick nodded and smiled, "I hear Lannister woman can be like wild cats in a sack."
