To Sparr he responded, "Seth was banished by my father, who took his own brother's life to take the Chair. He was told not to come back on penalty of death. I commend him for making such a great character of himself despite his stigma. I should hope that all men can traverse forwards despite adversity."

Erik kicks open the chest in front of him, and a pile of skulls, some with a fair amount of flesh still on them, pours out. "What remains of the Braavosi scum after we keelhauled them," He explains, "These are our true enemies. The countrymen of those who killed Balor- those who killed Balor on Harral's orders, and Harral's gold! Mortimer shall bring you victory, glory, and Braavosi corpses at your feet!"
