Balor looked a little surprised at the request but said "You're a man grown now, son. You can make your own choices in live. Of course you can join me. It may be a dangerous journey though, I doubt we've seen the last of the rebel forces just yet". He paused slightly and said "The Silent Serpent is waiting in the harbour if you still want it?" He turned, ruffled Meera's hair and kissed his wife. Turning back to Sabastian he said "We sail on the next tide. Prepare yourself and say your goodbyes".
He walked down the stairs and began yelling orders. Soon, many ironborn were preparing weapons and armour and heading towards the bay.

He glanced quickly over at his mother and little sister before he nodded to his father.
"I will join you, father. I've been through some adventures these last months, and it's made me realized that the Drowned God has some plan for me. I will show his and our enemies the way of the ironborn. No, let Gedrick keep the ship. I will sail with Blacktyde on this journey"
Violence isn't the answer the voice in his head told him, but Sabastian ignored it this time.
He looked as his father disappeared down the stairs and then he turned to his mother and little sister.

A week or two after the Lordsmoot, Erik Pyke arrives at Pyke to speak with Lord Dickon Harlaw about his upcoming voyage. Once admitted to see Harlaw, he tells him, "Greetings, my lord. Just wanted to have a few words with you about the trip I'll be taking."
"First off, the itinerary. I was thinking we'd head around Dorne to Braavos first, of course, stopping in the Stepstones to resupply if necessary. After Braavos, I would proceed to Pentos, then Volantis, Meereen, and New Ghis. If you'd like, I can keep going East from there. Qarth, Yi Ti, or Asshai might be worth stopping at. Might even try getting back to the Iron Islands by just sticking East, instead of heading back across the Narrow Sea. Whatever you like, of course."
"Two other real concerns. The first of these is communication, with you and with the Free Cities. A maester would be the easiest solution to both. I could stop by Oldtown in your name and request the service of one trained in the use of ravens, to contact you, and the languages of the Free Cities, to help in my dealings.
"Lastly, the folk of the East are vain and greedy folks, like all politicians. It always helps to bring some gifts. If you would be so kind, some gold to purchase such things to ease negotiations would probably be in our best interests.
"Your thoughts?" He asks, his list of concerns finished. He waits politely for Harlaw to give him some answers.

Harlaw nods at Pyke's words. "Sensible precautions, captain. You sound as if you're planning on a long journey" Harlaw shrugs "It never hurts to see if we can get supporters from other lands, though we do well enough without it. As far as a maester goes, you can take Maester Grimon. He's trained his ward sufficiently well to deal with routine matters. I think he has 6 links on his chain, though he may struggle with the spoken languages you find, he should handle the written word well enough. He looked askance when Erik asked for money but slowly nodded his head reluctantly. "Very well, I do not agree with parting with hard-earned coin to buy the dubious affections of foreigners but if we are to get information from them I see little option" he turns and scribbles a quick note on a scrap of parchment "Give this to the keeper of the coin and he will see that you have enough funds to begin with. If you run out" he smiled again "I'm sure you will find someway to fill the coffers"

"Thank you, my lord." Erik says to Harlaw with a short bow. "I'll let Maester Grimon know posthaste. And yes, I hate to pay the gold price as much as anyone, but I did not think you would want me to make many enemies on this trip. If I can," he grins, "I'll certainly pay the iron price."
He gives another quick bow and turns to leave, heading to the maester's chambers.

Andrik Greyjoy walks up the long path to the imposing castle of Pyke. He can feel the sea wind on his face, the spray dampening his dark beard, and he smiles. He had seen the fabled palaces of the Far East, the cold land of the Ibbenese, the sprawling city of King's Landing, and the hot sands of Dorne. But to an Ironborn, only one place would ever truly be home.
He arrived at Pyke's gate, his brother and several men just behind. "I am Andrik Greyjoy," he shouts to the guard who challenges him, "And I have come to claim my castle."

The guard laughed and rubbed his beard, "well, I'll see what Lord Dagon has to say about that then."
The guard departs, and returns awhile later, "Lord Dagon welcomes Andrik Greyjoy to his keep, and bids him entry."
The gates are opened for Andrik and his companions.

Andrik smiles at the guard. "I am glad to hear Dagon Harlaw has kept my castle well maintained for me. It would have been a pity had she fallen into disrepair."
Andrik and his companions follow the guard into castle Pyke.

Darryn strolls through Pyke, marveling at the buildings and structures that are almost fearsome in their simplicity. This city really embodies the spirit of us Ironborn. It's a shame that it has ever been taken. Not having noticed that he already arrived at his destination, Darryns attention is drawn toward a guardsman who is shouting at him, apparently already for quite some time. "Excuse me," Darryn says, " but I need to see a Wynch who might be Theon." Realizing that he should listen more properly, he tries to look as manly and raiderlike as possible. What a day. I really thought my return would be more different.
