At that moment a dark haired man with a hawk on his shoulder and a scar down his face walked up and said "im here to see the lord commander. My name is Teffaron from beyond the wall and im here to pledge my oath to the nights watch"

Lewys stalked through the snow, following the short, immensely fat black brother in front of him that he assumed was the Lord Commander's steward. Actually, he may not be that fat, as many furs as he's wearing... It occured to Lewys that he probably appeared much the same way dressed warm as he was. The man gently opened the door and ushered Lewys into the Lord Commander's office. "He should be expecting you," the man said simply, before disappearing. Lewys, thankful for the warm fires of the hall, entered.

Lord Bracken looked up and glared at Lewys with a sullen, fiery stare. "Yes?"

Lewys bowed stiffly but courteously before returning Bracken's stare. "Lord Commander," he began, "it is a great honor to finally meet you in person. I have heard many inspiring stories," Lewys said, smiling. After a brief moment of silence, he hastily resumed. "My men from the west are returning home. We give you our thanks for allowing us use of the gate, but I have another favor to ask. Perhaps you can find room under your many roofs for my men to sleep tonight, and some stew from the kitchen? Such a kindness done by the Night's Watch will not be forgotten, Lord. There are many young men around Deep Den that I can spare to send to the Watch, to aid in the defense of the realm," Lewys finished, with a respectful bow of his head. He stood tall and erect, waiting for the response.

Lord Bracken just nodded, "Anything else?"

"No," Lewys responded firmly, attempting to study this intense man's reaction to his words.

Lord Bracken stood and nodded, "Then welcome to our Kitchens, Lord... whatever. Thank you for your visit. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out."

Lewys stood silent for a moment before bowing stiffly and replied evenly, "You have our thanks, Lord Commander." He retreated from the office, back into the cold.
