Under the dark of knight, Lord Selwyn and his men finally arrive at the windy Shadow Tower, standing high on the cliffs south of the Frostfangs. He seeks the commander in hopes to reign in the insanity Lord Mudd described.

OOC: Well I took off as soon as you went north. I didn't expect you to turn around so quickly .

OOC: Say someone told Aranya and she galloped after you.
By the end of the day, Aranya and her guides reached him. "Why did you come this way?" Aranya asked, dismounting and walking over towards Selwyn.

"To save the Night's Watch. The lord of the Shadow Tower has been fighting the Lord of Eastwatch -- a Bracken by the way -- over becoming Lord Commander. Fighting with swords," Selwyn says. "What happened to going north beyond the Wall? To dangerous for travel?"

"You could say that," Aranya said, grimacing. "Lustrig and Doyle think I'm crazy anyway. Maybe I am. Anyway, I've learned something. You're going to kill me but...I have to go south again. As soon as possible." She looked at him with a straight face.

"South? I thought you wanted to come here to find out more about your warging, about your magic. What is south, aside from politics and the slime of courtlings?"

"In the South, another teacher awaits me," Aranya said. She put an arm around Selwyn's shoulders, trying to reassure herself that she was touching a man this time. "Someone who may not know the secrets of the North the way the crone does, but she has far wider magical knowledge."

"And what of the problems of the watch? Is not the kingdom in danger of the Others?"

"Yes, but this new teacher says it's not immediately, and I can't do anything unless I train with her first. Selwyn, what do you want me to do? This teacher invades my dreams and it might happen again if I don't go to her."

"If she can teach you through your dreams, do you even need to go to her? She will come to you each night. Or is that...unpleasant?"

"She can't teach me in dreams, she said so." Aranya actually blushed, and cast her eyes down. "And I'm not telling you about the dreams."

"What, hoarding secrets now? I'll pull it out of you. Now that Brynden survives on porridge and not your milk, you can drink again. I'll get two ales in you and you'll tell all, I'm sure," Selwyn says laughing.

"Trust me, if I told you, you'd run screaming in Lustrig's arms. Arm, I mean." She suddenly realized that Lustrig knew. Well, half the story, anyway.

"The last place I want to end up is wrapped in Lustrig's arm. I fear his lance," Selwyn says, smiling. "I'm amused that you think you can somehow still shock me."
