OOC: So this is all in the future, and as soon as this 'segment' is over, we'll call a halt until Wednesday. Or something like that.
Through the western gate, a large company of over a hundred and fifty riders came through. At the front rode Selwyn, Aranya, Lord Wull and Hodrick, with whom Lord Wull had been getting along splendidly. Behind them rode the Duskendale knights and the sworn brothers of the Shadow Tower.
Lord Mudd awaited the party with a nervous yet pleased smile, surrounded by his builders and stewards.
From the opposite eastern gate, Lord Bracken rode through with a hundred black brothers behind him.

Mudd smiles wanly, and bows to everyone, "Let us retire to the Council Room."

Aranya smiles placatingly at Lord Bracken and Lord Wull, and she, Selwyn and Hodrick walk with them as they all follow Mudd into the council room.

Callen took the stairs back down to the base of the Wall. He found Jeor waiting for him at the bottom, and together they went to see Lord Commander Mudd. Baratheon men at arms snapped to attention as Callen walked by the King's tower, but he ignored them, making for Mudd's quarters.

As Callen walked by one of the wagons he spied a peach there in. He picked one up, tossed it once in his left hand. And then walked up the stairs to Mudd's quarters. When he entered he was hit by a blast of heat, for a moment he looked around for the familiar sight of Gisella, but then realized that Mudd merely had a fire going in the hearth. It could become cold in the North, even in summer. Even the Lord Commander's bed was covered in thick furs to fight off the cool chill.

Mudd sat staring at a game board, all the pieces set. Clearly in the middle of a game, yet he is all alone. When the Lord Commander sees the King, he stands and bows.

OOC: Callen felt a slight shaking, but considering the fact that Westeros is roughly the size of South America it was only slight. So he is relatively unconcerned. The note he sent to the small council is in the present, while this conversation is in the past.

"No my liege. How may I serve you?"

"By telling me what you need. I head back to King's Landing soon, and when I returne I'll do all I can to help you. But first, you must tell me how I can."

"I need men. Lots of them. And families. I lost way too many black brothers. But worse the gift lays empty. I need farmers as much as I need soldiers, maybe more." Mudd answered.

"That can be done easily enough. Cheap land, even in the North is quite an incentive."

Mudd nodded, "That is all I need my King."

Roose stood and got out of bed at the call of his master. He stretched and stifled a yawn, threw a tunic on to cover his nakedness.
He found Benjen Stark in the black of the Night's Watch. "My lord?"

Lord Stark looked up from his black robe, and eyed Roose, "Yes, my lord?"
