Andrew Royce and Owen Baelish walked down the gangplank to greet the custom officers that stood waiting for them at the docks.
He spoke both Braavosi fluently.
"I am Captain Andrew Royce and I've brought nectar wine and carpets out of Myr, officers"
Owen stood beside him watching as the officers boarded the ship.
"Why are they doing this everytime. Is it just because we're outsiders, I think" He whispered.
"The war that we had a few years ago, made them a little bit cautious, but this is done with every merchant ship that enters the Sealord's domain. It's better that you learn that, my boy."
Owen snorted.
"I still think it's because we're outsiders."
Andrew smiled and made a wish that this time the search wouldn't take all day.

The Braavos official saw the Captain was ready and just waved his men onto the boat. He nodded and smiled politely at the Westerosi and his boy.

As the hours went by Owen got restless and sat down on the docks, throwing stones into the water.

The search was long and boring, and fortunately for Captain Royce, uneventful. The Braavosi stomped down the dock, and the bureaucrat nodded at the man before leaving.

Andrew nodded back and Owen just gave them a look. When they had disappeared Andrew walked up the gang plank and made his way to the Braavosi port.

The customs agents go through the ship from top to bottom, for several hours. Eventually, they are confident they found nothing, and the passengers are allowed to proceed.

////////////////////////////////////////// April 526
A ship under the captaincy of Ser Godry Farring arrives at port. Aboard are fifty-five men, among them Ser Steffen Lannister and Ser Walter Sarsfield. The ship is surrendered over to customs for the neccesary checks.
Steffen leaves the ship along with Walter and Ser Godry.
"How does one go about getting an audience with the sealord of Braavos?" Steffen says, more thinking aloud then genuinely asking.

Ser Godry overheard Steffen's musings.
"Ser Rolland Storm has been here on Lord Rhaegar's behalf for quite a while. I am sure he would be pleased to assist you in gaining an audience with the Sealord."
"Perhaps we should see the Targaryens first and use what we learn from them in discussions with the Sealord."
Godry gave a short grin.
"You decide our best course of action Lord Steffen. Short of acting against against the best interests of Lord Rhaegar, I and my men will be content to abide by your orders."

Steffen nods thoughtfully at the suggestions the Farring knight makes as the three men wander around the dock, looking intially for signs of authority. Perhaps I should have spent more time discussing our plans on the ship, rather than spending so much time trying to catch sleep, Steffen thought to himself.
"I did not know of this Rolland Storm before now ser. Perhaps he would make a good first contact. It would be best to know a little of the situation here before we talk to the Sealord or the Targaryens themselves. Maybe we shall learn something useful. Where is it that this man lives?"
Steffen liked that Godry continued to address him as Lord Steffen. It was a title he had held in the past, and held very dear then, and being addressed thusly now put him in high spirits.
"I'm glad to have you on my side, Ser Godry. You seem a good man," he commented with a thin but genuine smile.

The Braavosis make a through inspection of the ship, and deciding there is nothing inappropriate, allow them entrance.

Godry acknowledged Steffen's praise with a short bow.
"Thank you my lord. I endeavour to serve the Lord Rhaegar and your daughter Lady Alessa as best I can."
He thought for a moment.
"I believe Ser Rolland stated he would endeavour to seek lodgings either with the Sealord or near where the Targaryens are. The most likely would be the Targaryens. The Targaryens are well known here so it shouldn't be difficult finding them."

Spotting an official looking gentleman giving orders to men in official looking uniforms, Steffen gives Godry a challenging look. "Let us see for ourselves how well known they are," he says.
"Excuse me ser," he says, slowly and in Westerosi, "Where is it that House Targaryen calls home around these parts?"

"It's called the Splendid Times." The man said, "But I'd stay well away if I were you."

Steffen ignored the man's warning with a sneer but nodded in thanks. Asking another man for the directions to the Splendid Times revealed it's location.
Steffen looked to Godry. Without exchanging any further words, they headed off to find the remnants of House Targaryen.

A Riverlander merchant ship puts into port, and off steps a rather dramatic-looking man, wearing a black-and-gold ensemble with a a fine golden kraken fastening his cloak, and a small harp on his hip.
He asks around as to the whereabouts of House Targaryen.
