Tytos: Only a king can legitimize a bastard. Warren could formally recognize you as part of the family, but he couldn't give you the Blackwood name. He also couldn't knight you, not being a knight himself (most followers of the Old Gods aren't). You can probably be rewarded with a lordship of your own or a high ranking position in the army, though.

I'm going to rant. Tallahar had the NERVE to call a TRIAL BY COMBAT, AFTER THE SENTENCE WAS DECLARED. On TOP of that, he got his VS Sword! WTF IS WITH THAT?! He was a prisoner, even if his guard had snuck it in there wouldn't someone have noticeed that it wasn't a regular fucking sword?
