Yeah, it's a bit confusing to jump in, at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Well, where are you at the moment, at Raventree? You could go to King's Landing, but things are dying down there so that might now be so much fun much longer. You could go to Casterly Rock and speak to the people there. Lord Baldwin is talking a bunch of people there so all you'll have to do is have your char arrive there and start a convo with someone about what's going on in KL or whatever. I', down in the Stormlands at the moment, otherwise I would of had Aerie talk to you.

Actually, he was pretty active just a little while ago during the tourney. After that ended, he hasn't come on...So I dunno, I hope he hasn't disappeared forever! Oh, and no problem :] We should have Aerie and Balerion meet when she returns from wherever she's going.

Hey fellow Blackwoods!
Sorry for my sudden disappearance earlier, I left on a trip where I had no internet access for a while. Now it seems like a ton of things have happened and I'm lost again. Oh well, I'm sure I will get back into the swing of things soon enough.

YAY, you're back just in time to save Raventree from rebelling riverlanders goaded on by Ironborn! Basically what has happened is: ~We won the fight on the Wall, but Ser Doanl died. ~Callen Baratheon left Summerhall and in the Reach declaring himself the Storm King and on a mission to kill a Pretender who is burning and raping in his name. ~The Tyrells raised their banners for Callen. ~The King died, so the next king took the throne, but Aedon killed him and Maerys and is calling himself King. ~The old king's wife and Maery's children are with Rhodri and and going to Storms End. ~People are rebelling against Aedon, the bloody, the kinslayer. ~Michael Dondarrion proclaimed himself King and is on the throne, because Aedon left to attack the Redwynes I think. ~Aedon is back with follwers to attack King's Landing to take back his throne. ~The Blackwoods raised ttheir banners for Aedon and are sening forces of 2000 to Riverrun and King's Landing. ~This leaves Raventree very vulnerable because its strength is marching to KL. The Ironborn made a deal with Lord Bracken, who is calling on his allies to bring down the Blackwoods! Badbadbad. ~Aerie is with Ser Vikter Jast trying to find Callen Baratheon. She does not want Aedon as king, so she may have to betray her family, but she is not sure. She doesn't want Callen on the throne either. And yeah. That's basically it. We're screwed if we don't do something about the Ironborn, because Terrence (and probably Warren) and marching to KL with much of our strength, so it leaves us open for attack. I can't do much about it because I'm not there, so you'll have to figure something out. I might have Aerie come home too because of this. But yeah. First day back and there's already work! Isn't that great?

So wow, after recent events, we look like we're pretty much screwed. The king we swore for is dead. Dondarrion might have taken us, but he's dead too. Terrence is captured and our army is dead. Now there's only Callen, and he has every reason to hate us. Even if we openly submitted to him, he's obligated to raise the Tullys back to lordship. Even if he doesn't do that, he'll probably support the Greyjoys over us, since they've already declared for him and are probably much stronger than us by this point.
So, uh... thoughts on what we should do?

Yeah, I figured as much. Fucking Aedon. Well, perhaps if we swear to him now he'll only chop off our hands and give us a new name to be reborn by Hmmm, if we swear to him right now he might still forgive us and let us keep our titles, though I seriously doubt it because he wasn't so lenient with Rhodrii. I really don't know. There are other Targaryens we could support for the throne, basically the half-Targs, but I don't know how that's going to help us with Callen. Aerie is about to meet with him right now, so do you want her to talk to him about it and see how he would react to Blackwood support? The only other thing seems to be to support the targaryen kids who are running around all over the place, but since they're only kids they're not going to do us a lot of good in raising armies against Callen. Yup, sounds like we're screwed.

Yeah, I guess all we can really do is talk to Callen and hope he's feeling merciful. We don't have too many options. Assassination, maybe, but unlike Aedon and Dondarrion, Callen has heirs, so I don't know how much that would help us in the long term. Plus, if they catch our assassin, we're really screwed.

Dondarrion has an heir, actually, Edrick or something like that. He's old enough to take the throne, I think. I believe he's 18 or above...I don't know where he's hiding at the moment though, probably Storm's End. Could he be worth a try? The Dondarrion force still controls KL, doesn't it? Maybe we can have our men go over to them...
Assasinating Callen would be really difficult at this point, since he has an army at his back. It would be possible to kill him, but whoever killed him would get caught, and if he told them who sent him...that would suck for us.
I don't think Callen is going to be very merciful or generous to us. He was PISSED at Rhodri so he's probably going to have a fit with us.

Its worth a thought, but it still doesn't look too good. Remember, we just supported Aedon in the battle that killed Dondarrion... his son will probably not be any happier with us than Callen is. If he declares himself as king, he'd probably take our support, just because he'd need it so badly, but if he intends to kneel to Callen, he'll probably just spit in our faces for killing his dad.
What we could really use is a good hostage, so we can negotiate from a place of strength, but that seems even more impossible than assassination with Callen's army everywhere.
Either way, I think I'm going to call the banners to Raventree, not yet declaring for anyone.
