That's why it's a hope, Smith. I'd be very surprised if he actually won.

well, howdy y'all. Hope everyone is doing well. If I may, I would inquire as to what our most glorious house is doing and how I may best serve our interests.

Hey, Ryan. Welcome aboard.
A recent war is winding down about now, so our house is not doing anything too extreme. All that is left to do is retake Dragonstone from the Braavosi -- that might be a good way to win some glory if you are so inclined. There's also a small tournament being held at Duskendale for knights who haven't really made a name for themselves yet.
You should probably know where we stand politically. Our closest allies are the Royces/Arryns, and our biggest enemy right now is House Tyrell. We have a pretty sizable influence in King's Landing, since two Blackwoods are on the king's Small Council and Aerie is his headsman (headswoman?).

Headswoman, a very honorable post, as you all know. There's nothing too major happening other than the Tyrells sucking, so you can sort of make a name for your character doing your own thing, plotting or what not.

Ok thanks, Can anyone give me a synopsis of what happened to House Tully and where their characters are? I know that Lord Commander of the Kingsguard is Edmure Tully, the former lord. But how did Riverrun become a possession of the Lannisters? And do you know of any other Tourney's that are to be held, since I missed the Duskendale Tournament?

Riverrun was taken over by Lannisters since House Tully supported the losing party in the war where the Baratheons were overthrown. They basically got kicked out and the "Worm' was given Riverrun. But now I think it's back to the Tullys/Blackwoods because of Callen and the marriages between the Blackwoods and Tullys.

To elaborate:
The Tullys started the game as the lords paramount of the riverlands. They and most of the riverlands supported the Baratheons in the first big civil war, the War of Stag and Dragon. The Blackwoods supported the Targaryens instead, and when the Targaryens won the war we were granted lordship over the riverlands as a reward. The Tullys' own castle, however, went to Steffen Lannister, another big supporter of the Targaryens. The remaining Tullys went into hiding.
Ok, cut forward about five years. The riverlands are fairly prosperous under our rule, though we still have to put up with Steffen Lannister in Riverrun. Callen Baratheon makes an attempt to reclaim his father's throne. At the same time, the Targaryen king's brother, Aedon, murders much of his family and declares himself king. This of course leads to more bloody civil war, and in the end Callen is victorious in defeating the other claimants and seizing the Iron Throne.
Meanwhile, we Blackwoods are fighting the Greyjoys, who Callen ordered to attack us. The Greyjoys sack Riverrun, which really wasn't that bad, since it was a Lannister held castle. The plus side of this is that the ironborn attacks unite the riverlanders like nothing else could -- even Edmure Tully comes out of hiding to formally support us. Callen begins to realize he made a mistake, and we go to the negotiating table. The final deal was that we rejoin the Seven Kingdoms in return for keeping all of our powers as lords paramount of the riverlands and Callen promises to condemn the Greyjoys and help us drive them out of our lands.
Anyways, once we were back at peace the decision was made to control the Tully line so they wouldn't be a threat to us in the future. Edmure joined the kingsguard and his two sisters married Horas (me) and Warren. I'm now lord of Riverrun, though it wasn't really granted to me. I just sort of occupied it because no one was there and I had a claim to it through my Tully wife.
Phew. Lots of writing.

Oh Horas, Aerie doesn't actually plan to return to the Six Kingdoms. Just in case you didn't know. She's just going to leave with Brandon and flounce away.
