"So you wallow in self-pity and your own filth. Who do you think that helps, Seaworth?" Ryan barks in disgust. He looks away for a moment, shaking his head, then stares back at Edmure. "I'm sending you to Seaguard. Mallister ships have protected our coastline from the reavers for as long as anyone can remember. If it comes to an invasion of the Iron Islands, you can be sure Lord Lucas Mallister and his fleet will be where the fighting is the thickest. Serve well on one of his ships and you may be able to repay your debt."

Rhodri Arryn has been quiet for the last couple days, in part because he has been working with a local artisan. They were working on what he returns to Raventree Hall wearing -- a chain of hands to be worn as a necklace, but rather than gold, they are made from bronze.
He informs the Blackwoods that with the snows gone, it is time to march. They will be moving west along the River Road.

Hearing of this, Lord Quentin Fowler asked to speak with Lord Rhodri. His eyes were grim as he looked at the Handless Lord.
"I was led to believe there would be an expedition against the Ironborn. Has this been changed?"

"It has not. But we will launch from Lannisport after the Little Lion has been disposed of. As long as he sits in his rock, we cannot take all of our strength off of the mainland."

"I see. In that case, I will wait at Raventree Hall for further instructions from the Princess. I was told before I left that Dorne would not become involved in your game of thrones."

"Unfortunately, the empty threats of this little lord have forced our hands. When he murdered his own kin, the game ended. But I for one have not forgotten the Ironborn and the crimes they committed here. Methinks your swords and spears will still have use."

Another Raven arrived in Raventree.
To Rhodri Arryn, Hand of the King
In preparation for an assault on Casterly Rock you are to move your forces to Riverrun. The Dornish shall accompany you, and if they do not wish to help in the fight against the Lannister they may remain there. Sylas Caron and I shall lead a mix of Crownland and Stormland forces down the Gold Road, and Tallahar Tyrell shall lead his forces from Highgarden up the Searoad.

Edmure Seaworth came down the stairs with a packed bag on his pack. He appeared to be readying himself to leave.

Rhodri Arryn, Hand to the King, assembles the sworn forces of Callen Baratheon -- comprising of armies under the command of Master Warren Blackwood and Lord Dominic Grafton -- and begins the movement west. The Dornish are invited to join if they so desire, but are otherwise offered the opportunity to camp in the environs of Riverrun until it is determined whether they will move on the Ironborn or return to Dorne.
Seaworth is offered protection under the wing of Rhodri Arryn if he will accept it.

Edmure's look grew hard, "Aye, I'll ride with you, and when we land the Pyke I'll be the first to bury my fist into Balor's face."

"You'll need to make amends for the foul stench of salt left behind in these rivers. Be wary, and ride with my Valeman just in case. You don't need a drunken river-knight deciding he needs vengeance for his kin on you."
"I have paid the price for my crimes in life. We may not yet know what penalties will be asked of you, but standfast and hang onto your pride. If your head is high, they cannot chop it off."
With that, Rhodri returns to saddling his horse. He sees Tully and gestures for him to come over.

Tully walks up and bows stiffly, like a man not use to the act, "Rhodri the King has invited me to come to King's Landing and Command his Guard. I would like that. But I am your man, so I beg your leave." His grim frown never leaves his face.

"That is what I had heard. I looked forward to having you in my service. We share a common cousin, so while our kinship is distant, I had hoped to learn more of you in the fight to come. But you shall serve as Lord Commander, and I shall serve as Hand, so in truth, we remain in the same cause," Rhodri says.
"Therefore, I bid you ride to King Callen, and take the White. A black turtle in a white cloak will cause fear in all of our King's foes."

Nodding Eddard's frown did not lighten at all. He turned and walked away, mentally preparing his trip.

The Dornishmen made ready to follow the army of the Six Kingdoms to Riverrun, but Fowler shook his head again at the message. "Were it up to me, I'd hang that kinslaying bastard from the top of the Spear, but Emelia says she doesn't want Dorne getting drawn into the game in Westeros."
