The men took food gratefully, their leader sitting down and, after taking a bite, turning to Horas. "We have heard of the disaster at King's Landing, though in little detail, and we have heard that the King you served is dead, among the most consistent and least disjointed sets of rumors we've heard lately."
The rider paused, then continued. "The Princess wishes to know if your loyalties, and those of the Riverlords, still lie with the Dragons, even with all who claim the Iron Throne by Dragon's blood are dead. Or if not, if you still oppose the Stag pretender."

Horas sits as well, drinking from a cup of wine.
"My House lies in a very difficult situation, Ser. The Dragons are dead, but we are by no means Stag men. I do not think Callen will be inclined to be generous with my House." This last Horas says with half a grimace.
"But it is said that Princess Emelia has called her banners. Who does she intend to support?"
(OOC: Need to go to the dentist, sorry)

"There is no king in Westeros," said the rider simply. "Her Highness has called her banners in the name of Dorne, against those who would breach the treaty between Dragon and Sun. King Callen names himself Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and King of the Rhoynar; Dorne, of course, will abide no King who does not hold to the treaty."
The rider shrugged. "Emelia would champion the cause of Aemon, the last rightful king, if any would remain to fight the Stags. She sent me to propose an axis between all who remain to oppose Callen, regardless of which King they once stood with."

Horas studies the emissary for a moment, his face unreadable. Then, with a decisive air: "Your Princess's words are wise, Ser. The Blackwoods would be glad to stand with Dorne in the name of King Aemon."
"Who else have you contacted?"

"I believe the Princess intends to send riders to Blackhaven and Lannister," the man said, ripping a hunk of bread free and biting down. "I have no idea who will lead in the Stormlands, but if whoever holds Blackhaven accepts the agreement, the rest should follow, without much else to do. Lannister will probably remain as neutral as before, or join the Stags, but nonetheless we will need to ask them."
"So. The settling of affairs after the war, and who will be King of Andals and First Men, can come when things settle, but this much we can have the scribes write out and seal now in all the proper language of state: an axis of mutual defense against the Stag pretender in the name of the Fallen King, with full recognition of the Treaty of Sunspear. Is there anything else we'll need to agree to?"
(Naptime. Will respond.)

Horas nods, and reaches across the table to shake the messengers hand.
"Let it be done. We must try to gain as many allies as we can. I will send men of my own out to persuade others. The hospitality of Raventree Hall is yours for so long as you wish it. Send my best wishes to your lady next time you meet."
With that, Horas rises, and begins the preparations for the war against the Pretender King.

(Or naptime after I respond.)
The messenger firmly shook hands. "The horses could use a night's rest, I suppose. I will convey your regards. And may the Stag rue this day."
The next day, he would depart to convey word of the agreement to Emelia.

ooc: Careful. Callen is a bit guest happy right now, so be very cautious. He doesn't need another Blackwood hostage, thanks to me.

Warren Blackwood rides to the gates of Raventree Hall, leading the survivors of the siege of King's Landing. Their fight against the Songlord had left the force well bloodied, and only a fraction of the two thousand men that went south still remain.

But I was just going to have Warren return. So I will forgive it this time. He has 347 men. And they killed twenty Iron born raiders on their way home.

Horas Blackwood meets the messengers, invites them in, and offers bread and wine.
"Does your master send you with a reply?" He asks.
