Siege ladders are to be prepared. Longbowmen are to use their excellent range and fire arrows to rain volleys upon Pondwater Keep's garrison. This is to continue until the point that their garrison has been successfully diminished in number. Then the foot troops are to mount the walls with a priority of opening the gates. When the gates are open, the horse are to charge into the keep. Barret, Francis, and Earl are to be with the foot troops but very well defended (even more than usual).

The longbow men march into bow range of Pondwater Keep and begin to launch barrages of fire arrows into the keep. Must men run for cover even though quite a few men in the keep are killed. Almost immediately the Pondwater archers begin to fire back into the Reach's longbowmen.
Several days pass with continual exchanges between the two sides. The skills of the Rose's men prove superior to the Upstart King's men.
Results: 760 Longbowmen of the Reach are wounded or killed 1130 Northmen are wounded or killed

As soon as the siege ladders are constructed The reach men move forward attempt to assault the keep's walls. There are still archers firing down at the reachmen, but there numbers have been greatly reduced after days of fire arrows.
Soon the ladders are hooked over the top of the wall and reachmen are climbing the walls. For several moments it looks like the Reachmen are going to break, but Lord Crane rallies his troops and they take the southern wall.
Results 740 Reachmen Infantry killed or wounded 320 Northmen killed or wounded

Soon reachmen are swarming all over the Southern Wall. Lord Crane stands on top of the wall urging his men up and over. Grent Tallhart, eldest son of Lord Tallhart, leads a sally from the western wall. He carved his way to Lord Crane and the two men fought. As the two men engaged in single combat on top of the wall it seems as if the rest of the men paused to watch. Almost as if the whole battle depended on the outcome of their fight.
Lord Crane proved the better man, taking a medium wound, he still managed to throw Tallhart from the top of the wall. Soon the Northmen were falling back before the resurgant reachmen.
Fighting there way down to the courtyard, Lord Barret Tyrell crosses blades with Janus Waterman. After a several heated blows Barret beheads the other noble with a masterful stroke.
With both Tallhart and Waterman the Northmen are leaderless and soon the begin to surrendor to the Reachmen.
Results: Lord Barret Tyrell conquers Pondwater Keep 770 Tyrell infantry are killed or wounded 810 Northmen are killed or wounded 240 Northmen surrendor to the Tyrells
