OOC: While it's up to Crake, I'm almost positive that blades are blunted in the melee, for the same reason that knights use tourney lances while jousting instead of war lances. The idea isn't actually to kill one another, after all.

OOC: Right, but Baldwin said whatever was done in the melee and in the melee they use sharpened blades.

OOC: wouldn't want my blade sharp even with plate armor a well place two handed swing could kill or at the very least shatter bones

We discussed this when we *almost* did a melee at Storm's End. Historically, real weapons were used in tourney melees and similar events (like this pageant). That did mean death was a possible outcome. However, often in medieval combat death didn't come from the big weapons but rather a cut throat on a man who has fallen. I'd say there is more possibility of serious injury than death, since no one will be killing men who fall. And anyone who falls to their knees or back is likely to yield before being struck again.
So death is less likely than a real fight even with real weapons, but remains a possibility.

Left: Warren Blackwood's group throws themselves against Robert Royce, Gideon Caron and Yorrel Serry, but the three defenders stand tall in the face of strong opposition. This is because there is only enough room for several fighters, and the defenders cannot be surrounded. Robert Royce's blade finds a weak spot in Kennos Keath's armor, and Gideon Caron is able to quickly make Ronald Tyrell yield.
Center: The center defenders also put up a great defense, and because their numbers are more even, Lord Karstark makes Kevan Mallister yield after afflicting him with a decent side-wound. Xavier Hill takes a wound from Lord Rhodri Royce but manages to strike back and hits Royce with the side of his blade.
Right: The northerners are overpowered and despite their giant of a man, Jonas Mormont, they lose one of their own, as Isaac Glover moves out too far from their group and taking a nasty blow, he drops to his knees and yields. Jonas Mormont strikes back with such immense force that Tommen Redfort drops to his knees almost at the same time he is hit. The Greatbear and the Lord Benjen Stark then turn and walk backwards towards the fort as they together make Ser Olver Banefort yield.
Those who yielded: From the attackers- Ronald Tyrell, Kevan Mallister, Tommen Redfort, Olver Banefort. From the defenders- Isaac Glover. Both Rhodri Royce and Xavier Hill are both wounded (though the latter much more than the former).

ooc-I get why you are doing the pagaent first but does it still happen chronologically after the joust? Cause Xavier has been wounded and he was suppose to be in the joust yesterday or tomorrow.

OOC: If I get the time to do it, it will be the day after the pageant.

Left: With great courage and strength the defenders of the fort's left flank use the lack of space to their advantage, and forcing Kennos Keath to yield.
Center: As Xavier Hill yields, Lord Karstark, Bardwyn Doggett and Felwick Gower rally in their defense and hold up against the attackers, though inflicting nothing but negligible wounds.
Right: Ser Rober Broom is inflicted with an average wound by Jonas Mormont, as Lord Benjen Stark attacks again with a blow that knocks Rober Broom to his knees, bleeding. Ser Rober makes an attempt to stand but when Benjen Stark begins to swing Ice towards him, the Broom knight yields.

Left: Continuing an excellent show of swordsmanship and bravery, the three defenders maintain their ground while Gideon Caron forces Ser Ulster Foote to yield and Ser Robert Royce strikes a blow upon Ser Brandon Buckler.
Center: Lord Konn Karstark strikes a hit on Lord Danforth Yew as the center defenders stand strong.
Right: The defenders of the right cannot manage to stay as strong as their other team-mates and when Lord Stark is assaulted by three of the assaulting knights he is forced to yield. Jonas Mormont still stands though, and has inflicted a blow upon Fianlyn Drox.

Now that the pageant has become a smaller group of people, the challengers seem to fight one on one now (Besides two fights).
Now the tourney grounds are broken down into-
Left:
Warren Blackwood and Ser Brandon Buckler vs. Ser Robert Royce
Lord Rindwynd Tyrell vs. Gideon Caron
Ser Yeager Hawthorne vs. Ser Yorrel Serry
Center:
Lord Konn Karstark vs. Lord Danforth Yew
Lord Rhodri Royce vs. Ser Bardwyn Doggett
Ser Alliser Redfort vs. Ser Felwick Gower
Right:
Jonas Mormont, the Greatbear vs. Lord Tallahar Tyrell, Ser Fianlyn Drox, Ser Errent Falwell, and Ser Leland Hetherspoon

Left:
Warren Blackwood and Ser Brandon Buckler vs. Ser Robert Royce: The two attackers engage the Royce man, but only Warren Blackwood can inflict a negligible wound upon him.
Lord Rindwynd Tyrell vs. Gideon Caron: Lord Rindwynd Tyrell flourishes with his blade and inflicts a medium wound on Gideon, the younger opponent then yields.
Ser Yeager Hawthorne vs. Ser Yorrel Serry: Ser Yorrel Serry is able to momentarily better his opponent and inflicts an minor wound upon him.
Center:
Lord Konn Karstark vs. Lord Danforth Yew: Lord Danforth Yew slips past the northern Lord's defense and gives him a minor wound.
Lord Rhodri Royce vs. Ser Bardwyn Doggett: Lord Royce is able to stay strong and parries most of Bardwyn's blows, and though he is hit a few times the blows are negligible at best.
Ser Alliser Redfort vs. Ser Felwick Gower: Ser Felwick Gower quickly bests the young Redfort and proves his skill at with an axe.
Right:
Jonas Mormont, the Greatbear vs. Lord Tallahar Tyrell, Ser Fianlyn Drox, Ser Errent Falwell, and Ser Leland Hetherspoon: The Greatbear is ferocious. He is not only able to hold off most of his attackers but inflicts a minor wound on Hetherspoon and forces Ser Errent Falwell to yield after he is dealt a harsh blow. Lord Tallahar Tyrell does manage to slip past the Greatbear's defense and inflicts a medium wound upon him.

Left:
Warren Blackwood and Ser Brandon Buckler vs. Ser Robert Royce: Despite the parries by Buckler and Royce, Blackwood is able to get past Royce's defense. Blackwood inflicts a great blow upon Royce, forces him to yield.
Ser Yeager Hawthorne and Lord Rindwynd Tyrell vs. Ser Yorrel Serry: Ser Yorrel Serry misses an opportunity to attack Rindwynd Tyrell's defenseless torso as the Reach lord is easily parried. Ser Yeager Hawthorne, despite his wound, is able to make it even and hits the Serry knight- inflicting a minor wound.
Center:
Lord Konn Karstark vs. Lord Danforth Yew: This time Lord Karstark is able to hit Lord Yew and give him a minor wound.
Lord Rhodri Royce vs. Ser Bardwyn Doggett and Ser Felwick Gower: Lord Royce is given a third wound by the Commander of the defenders and must yield or risk his own life. Rhodri's own master-at-arms delivers the final wound, bringing Rhodri to his knees. Rhodri, unable to get up, is yielded for, to protect his safety.
Right:
Jonas Mormont, the Greatbear vs. Lord Tallahar Tyrell, Ser Fianlyn Drox, and Ser Leland Hetherspoon: The Greatbear is able to block the blows of most of his attackers, and after parrying the Tyrell's sword he inflicts a minor wound on Tallahar.
