Stone Hedge is the hereditary seat of House Bracken. It's solid walls and keep have seen better days but it is still one of the mightiest fortifications in the Riverlands. The walls circle round a small hillock upon which the keep lies, casting it's gaze across the surrounding villages and countryside. The Red Fork of the Trident glitters slivery-white in the distance. The red stallion of Bracken flies proudly from it's walls.

Halon sat on a stool by the courtyard, watching some of Bracken's men drill in the courtyard. The ironborn nearby made disparaging remarks at their attempts and Halon was similarly unimpressed. He stifled a yawn. He had received the recent raven from Pyke asking for information but he had little to give. Although now thankfully mostly sobered up, Lord Bracken was still infuriatingly slow to raise his men and secure the support of the fellow riverlords. Only now had he called up his men and some support from the other riverlords had arrived, though not as many as Halon had hoped. He sighed as Lord Bracken walked up to him "A fine sight, eh Blacktyde?" he said, with a beaming smile. "My boys will show those damned crows a thing or two if they stick their beaks out of their hall". Halon looked again at the red-faced and sweating men stumbling around the courtyard in their armour "Oh yes, milord Bracken. It fare sends chills down my spine". Bracken beamed at the supposed compliment. "So are we ready then?" he said. Halon shrugged "It seems we have as many men as we're ever going to get and we'd best strike before our foes can organise. I'll send a raven to Lord Greyjoy and we'll begin" Bracken nodded eagerly. Now that they chance to humilate his old opponent was here, he was straining to be off. Halon dictated his message to Balor to the watery-eyed old castellan who also doubled as the resident maester, as the last one had died during the summer from a bout of dysentry and Bracken had been so in his cups to bother to send for a replacement. Once it was done, the old man carefully tied it to the ravens clawed foot and released it into the skies. Halon watched it go and felt some of his old excitement return "Soon. Soon we shall return" he grinned a bloodthirsty smile and headed downstairs to organise his own men.

Halon reads the last raven from Pyke. They will sail soon he thought to himself. Nodding absently, he headed for Bracken. The time had come to march.

Stone Hedge is a fairly large castle in the Riverlands, the Red Fork just visible on the horizon. Stone Hedge is now the seat of a branch of House Blackwood, with Lord Francis Blackwood as the lord of it, married to the eldest remaining Bracken woman. The flag flying from the towers is the red stallion rearing with two white ravens above it, the new standard for the Blackwood branch.
