Would a natural disaster be too much.
Not right now, but if it gets slow having a massive Hurricane Earthquake, Fire, Flood, Tsunami, or other hit Westeros would give them something to do.
You know relief and rebuilding. I am not sure how I feel about it, but it would be something new, and probably unexpected.

If it gets too slow that may be an idea but if it's done it would need to be somewhere localised. One idea, and I say this from some of the things I'm reading on the private boards, is to have it in Dorne. Dorne has so far escaped a lot of traffic and problems the other 7 kingdoms have. The Vale's been attacked, the Rock, the North several times, the Stormlands & Reach once. Dorne's had nothing. So I'd be tempted to have it there, whatever "it" is. If for no other reason than to get other PCs over there

Actually I was thinking the same thing from a different perspective. I was thinking Dorne has been to lucky too long.
Well if it is Dorne Blizzard is out. Tornadoes are in though. I don't think fire would be as bad in Dorne though... I am thinking Earthquake. That would be kind of cool, plus we can do it everywhere, but only bad in Dorne.

Earthquake seems plausible. You could also have tsunami which would be limited to Dorne but not sure if it's as likely. Heh, what about meteorite impact? It happened to Starfall after all

Actually that is kind of sweet Idea it would cause all of the other events, plus there would be the added race of people running to find Meteor fragments to craft a new dawn.
We could also you this as a time for people to discover the First Men ruins that hold that fiery sword whose name I can never remember.

That does sound pretty cool. We should probably hold off on it until the two tourneys and lordsmoot are finished though.
p.s. I've been meaning to let someone like Erik Pyke to find Euron Crow-eye's dragon horn in the Pyke catacombs at some point. What do you think?

Remind me what that is.
But clearly I like things like that. If you are using catacombs, maybe in Dorne they can find a Keep that was buried in Sand. Damn is that a sand castle... that sounds less cool then I thought.
