Just noticed that Miles Oldflower rolled 150 and should have gone into the third phase but nevermind. No-one else seems to have noticed/cared

IN yours you had said they must roll higher then 120, I thought I had said the same thing, but it does not really matter.

So how did you like how I did the Melee, I decided that it was more important to get it over, then do all the little fights we were talking about. I think it worked pretty well.

Yes. I was looking back over old threads to see if I could find rules for previous ones and then realised we'd never really done a proper one before!! I think it worked very well. There's little real death threat, unlike in jousting, as we just say if you don't hit x then you don't progress. And in the later rounds, the ones of low skill should already have been knocked out so the likelihood of +100 differentials is lessened. All in all I think it went quite well. We may be the victim of our own success however as now we have Tallahar's Highgarden tourney as well as Aranya's Duskendale one. Jeez!

Yeah... I think next time for the joust for most of 100+ hits we just make them injuries. There probably were too many deaths. Still have some people die but injure most.

In fairness most of the deaths were made-up on-the-spot NPCs so I don't feel so bad. The only one of real significance was Lord Hunter and he's *only* in a coma. Even if he does recover I think he should be fairly fucked though. Paralysed down one side or something

Yeah I actually do not know if he will ever recover, I just thought a coma would be an interesting twist.
Maybe he will wake feebleminded and still in command.
