Many Tents surround Storm's End, but it is not a besieging army. It is the escorts and guards of the many attendants. In the center of the throng a large tent decorated with three blue beetles is louder then all the other tents combined. A makeshift bar has been set up to serve men of all factions. There are three satellite tents also decorated with the blue beetles lie near the Three Blue Beetle tent; holding a gambling den, a black market, and whore house, with many smaller private tents nearby.

Near 1,000 ironborn have their own section of the encampment. They have however, been given strict instructions not to mix with the other factions, nor to leave their section without a Lord. Any attempts to enter their section are angrily rebuffed.
In the heart of the camp, inside a heavily guarded tent sits a miserable and weeping Derrick Mallister, chained to the tentpole like a dog.

Two thousand Riverlanders have set up camp around Storm's End, directly next to the Greyjoy encampment. They make camp as if they are still at war, with pickets, trenches, and sentries at the perimeter.

Over 400 Reachmen set up camp near Storm's End. They expect Lord Francis Merryweather to bring an additional 800 or 900 men heading from the west coast.

Amdle, dressed in sober but fine style, keenly aware of the gold price that had been paid for his new clothes, marched back to the tent he was sharing with Bella.
"We need to talk," he said.

Bella looked at Amdle "Where did you get those clothes?" she asked curiously

"I have just reclaimed my place as part of the merchant class, as one who pays fair gold for all things." He hesitated. "I have just seen my father for the first time in months. He thought I was dead. He and I have begun talking about my future."
He looked away, gathering strength for what he had to say, and then at first softly and then louder with more confidence. "You are the most extraordinary women in all of Westeros. I am proud to know you. I love you. But I will not be your salt husband any more."
Then as any merchant would do in such a situation, he knelt on one knee.

Bella raged at Amdle "You will not be my salt husband anymore? As if that is your choice! I dragged you from the sea, I gave you your life and now you spit it back in my face" she struck Amdle backhanded across the face, her eyes glistening with what suspiciously appeared to be unshed tears.

He was heartened by Bella's response, she at least cared enough to rage at him. He looked up at her with longing, she was glorious in her anger. "My love, would you do me the great honor of marrying me?" he said between her shouts.

That brought up Bella short. She opened her mouth a couple of times to speak but nothing came out and she flushed. Finally she got her voice back and bellowed angrily "Me, the wife of a merchant? Don't be ridiculous! Go back to your precious stalls and coins if that's what you really want!" she threw his belongings at him and stormed out the tent, tears running down her face. An ironborn nearby asked her what was ailing her and she smashed him in the jaw, knocking him unconcious with one blow as she strode away.

Amdle gave a hand to Klus, the iron man Bella knocked out who was slowly coming out of his unconscious state , "Some woman, huh?" Amdle said ruefully.
Bella had run to a corner of the Iron Encampment and was standing there throwing her axe repeatedly at a stump that that had been set up as a target. Between throws, when the axe was safely out of her hands, Amdle grabbed her arms. He was stronger than he looked and was able to hold her struggling arms for long enough to say what he needed to say.
“I am not your pet nor good huswife, and neither do I expect you to be pet or huswife. But I am a man. I love you and would give my life for you and want to spend the rest of my life fucking you and fighting you and fighting by your side. But as glorious an idle as being your salt husband has been, that cannot last. I am a merchant’s son and despite your aspersions, it is an honorable profession. I will live where you want, fight when you want, but I will make my own money and I will stay only if you agree that we be legally wed.” This was probably the longest speech he had ever given. He capped it however by sweeping Bella into his arms and kissing her long and hard.

Bella kissed him fiercely back, biting his lip. "Aye, I'll have ye for a husband. I'll be damned if I'm going to be called "Bella Flowers" though!" she grinned. "I may have a word with Halon and see if I can convince him to let you take our name if it suits?"

Amdle came up for air briefly and then swept Bella into his arms again for another deep kiss. He had almost been ready to mount her there in the open by the axe butts when Bella, his beloved Bella, had come to her senses first and dragged him back to their tent where they noisily and triumphantly completed the act.
By the Drowned God she tasted good. As he felt the flow of salty blood into his mouth, he knew the answer to her comment.
"For your sake and for the sake of the Drowned God who saved my life and who I now serve, I will be honored to take the name Blacktyde. But for the sake of my own father and his family, I will also keep Flowers. From the day we marry by the sea and the grace of the Drowned God, I will be Amdle Flowers Blacktyde."
He grinned at her, "So do you want to meet your new good father to be?"
