Graham scratches his chin with his good hand. He didn't remember Benfry at his drinking contest, but then again... he did not remember much of that night at all.
"My brother Ryan has sent me to treat with you, Lord Smith. He's renounced Horas. He wants to surrender."

Benfry looked surprised "Seems like the Lord Crow doesn't even have the support of his own family. What terms does Lord Ryan suggest?"

Alexander sits anxiously with the other men. He had heard the Stormlanders had taken the capital but he had not heard word yet from his wife and three children still in the capital. In the Chaos his Raven's had not been answered. Alexander waited for the Riverlander to speak.

Blackhaven's Castellan, Cedrik Lonmouth, stood with the other great lords, despite his little authority in this situation.

Young Lord Tarly stood just behind the Lord Regent and Lord Irwyn, hoping against hope that the messenger would inform them that the Usurper was dead or even better yet, captured alive.

Graham seems uncomfortable speaking with the lords, or perhaps it is just discomfort about doing something productive for his house in general.
"Well, Horas is a smart one all right. But he's also, uhm," Graham searches for the right word. "Evil, I guess. He's led House Blackwood to prosperity before, so Ryan trusted him again. But now he's gone too far." Graham scratches his chin.
"So. Terms. Lord Terrence remains Lord Paramount of Riverlands, and Ryan'll rule for him until he comes of age. We kneel to you as Lord Regent of the Seven Kingdoms. Horas and Jenny's boy keeps Riverrun. It's not his fault his father was what he was. And I suppose I'm your hostage," Graham says morosely. "So you can kill me if Ryan looks at you funny or something."

Webber looked at Lord Irwyn with a knowing glance, leans over and whispers in his ear.

Lonmouth leans over to Webber and says, "On my bloody body are they gonna keep Riverrun...".

Graham frowns at Lonmouth, who he does not recognize. "You'd have to convince the Lady of Riverrun of that, my lords, and she's a bloody stubborn woman. Turns out the Tullys didn't like it too much when the Lannisters took their castle the last time."

(I meant to say that he whispered that to Webber, but I guess it's too late, heheh.)
"I'm sure there are plenty of solutions for that, ser", he said, having already thought of a few solutions.

Lord Tarly smirks at Lonmouth's reply, nodding his consent.

"Your family's dislike of Lord Horas didn't seem to stop them aiding him with your men storming the Red Keep and salughtering my brothers" Benfry said bluntly, though without much obvious malice.
He scratched his chin and continued "I'm not a man for blaming the ills of one man on his entire family, but it seems to me a further proof of Lord Ryan's loyalty is needed. Will your forces led the assault against Dorne, should it be required? I do not mean to allow that to break apart which took so much pain to rejoin"

"Those were Horas' men," Graham says. "Elwood and Desmond and me, and some guards, we were there for the tourney when it all happened, but fuck if we knew what was happening when the fighting broke out in the keep. Didn't leave my damn tent until everyone else was done killing each other."
"And we'll fight Dornish if you command it. But you might need to tell your men to stop sacking our keeps first. Last I heard, Westermen and Ironborn were on the move."

Lonmouth starred at Benfry with his mouth agap for a moment, "You'll let them keep Riverrun?", he asked. "Seriously?"

Benfry smiled ironically "The goodwill of allies is a temporary thing, is it not?" he sighed before continuing
"I will not deny some element of pleasure in the thought of the disaster looming for your homes and loved ones, Blackwood...but your smallfolk do not deserve to pay for the crimes of your House, despite it's treasonous actions. I will contact the Lannisters and Lord Harlaw to see if their hounds can be called off. This is merely a postponement of punishment however. I make no promises as for your conditions, though I am not immediately hostile to them, but this is a matter for the King and Small Council to decide, along with the fates of those others implicated in this rebellion. I have lost my brothers and friends but they died in the service of their King, as their oath demanded...some lost a good deal more" he glances across to Lord Tarly but says nothing more.
