A fire burns brightly, and the leader of the knights walks out to Tristeza when she arrives with her company. Timm Dayne can be seen by the fire. He is unarmed and one leg is shackled to a ball, but otherwise he seems treated well enough.
"M'lady," The lead knight says simply.

"Ser." she nodded respectfully, and handed him a letter for his master. it bore the Dornish coat of arms.
Lord Horas Blackwood; I am pleased to have received your congratulations and to have found Timm Dayne safe at home again. I am, in truth, far more pleased to tell you that we may have less to discuss than you believe at the end of this unfortunate war—It is my intention to withdraw Dornish support for Lord Andry—I have found it on good authority that the decision to favor Andry was a grave mistake, and am elated to say that Dornish troops will join those of the Riverlands, and other regions of the North in opposing him in any reasonable way which will be of service to the cause. I would greatly appreciate your relaying my good sentiments and salutations to your fellow Northern Lords, though I will write the letters necessary to make our new allegiance known. Yours fondly,
Lady T. Martell
The gestured to the guards near Timm Dayne that they might accompany him to their presence. "Thank you for your hardship, Ser. I appreciate all of the effort you have exerted to travel this long way--please give your master my Thanks and Greetings."

"Of couse, Lady Tristeza," the knight says. "By your leave."
His followers begin to travel north once again. Couriers rarely rest for long.

Timm looked at Tristeza and said, "Emelia is dead. Horas Blackwood had her killed."

"I know she is dead." Tristeza answered, "And I am doing my utmost to right the shambled of a Kingdom her passing has left in its wake--I did not know Blackwood killed her." she tacked on as a belated afterthought.

"I do not recommend telling anyone. They will insist on a war they can not win to avenge her." Timm replied, "May I ask what your plans are?"

Tristeza heaved a quiet sigh--the urgency Dayne had informed her of the nature of the killing had led her to believe that he would be one of those war-mongers. "War is not in them, you may be sure." she replied directly. "I plan to shift our allegiance from Andry to Piers--that is, if Piers will have our help at war without demanding our incorperation."

Timm looked at her a long moment, "Piers wants to aid Dorne in anyway he can, but he does expect to be compensated for his help. And he will point out that Emelia intended the Kingdoms to unite before her untimely death."

"He may point out what he wishes, Lord Dayne, but the fact remains, I am not Emelia." she answered, a thin frost falling over her voice. "Ultimately, it is not a move I am presently willing to make."

Timm nodded, "Then I believe Lord Piers and Lord Horas will use Dorne's public support of Prince Andry to invade the country."

"If Dorne publicly opposed Andry, it won't look entirely sensible to use that as a reason though, will it?"

Timm shrugged, "Most of their Lords want a war with Dorne, and with Emelia gone they will think the road is clear."

Tristeza fought the urge to curse heatedly. "It is not as though we are without leadership, nor without military, nor without allies in the North." she said all at once. "May I count on you, Lord Dayne, to support my agenda?"

"I guess that depends on the agenda Lady Martell." He replied, "And we have no allies who will stand with us against Horas and Piers. They were promised a reunification and they want one."

"I would not ask a true ally to stand in a losing battle, Lord Timm...But I would ask them to speak on out behalf." Tristeza mused, "I will speak with Piers myself...A civil discussion on the matter can do us no harm...You may trust that I will do all in my power to keep this Kingdom independant; if that possibility has past, then I will focus on keeping it safe...that is my agenda--it is a simple one, but I am certain it is in the best interests of the people of Dorne...I need to know if you will support me...Your public acknowledgement of my ascencion, and support of my policies would be endlessly helpful."
