"No not yet. Until I hear differently I'll assume Lord Velaryon is still alive. I have sworn to serve him until death."

Baldric nodded, "Although we may need to refine our orders, we have little coin and Dragonstone is facing a huge fleet of ships. . ." Baldric shook his head, "Now I don't mean to be negative but facing 4000 men is one thing but facing 16,000 is something else. We may need to revisit our goals at least for the near term," Baldric says. "I said I would take the job to protect the boy but its still my intention to live long enough to spend those Dragons your Lord paid me."

"Why don't you northern boys go and sit somewhere with a nice cool beer?" Lorenza said sarcastically, though her hand brushed lightly against Baldric's behind. "You stick out like sore thumbs. If you want to contact the Dornish resistance, you need a Dornish person to do it."

Baldric laughed, "I am not sure any of the men you know will get a warm welcome from the Dornish Resistance after your boys kicked their heads in after they strung up Lord Hill Crest," Baldric spat on the ground again and rubbed the spit into the earth with his foot. "Of course she's right Tristan, mighty distrustful lot they are."

"They're sons of Mother Rhoyne down to the bone," Lorenza drawled. "They're such Orphans of the Greenblood that they piss riverwater. One look at your pretty pale knightly faces will be enough to bring them screaming for your blood. They hate northerners, one and all."

"Of course the enemy of an enemy is a friend and after the beating old Ramsey Qorgyle gave them they might be looking for any help they can find," Baldric said wiping the sweat from his brow.

"So what do you say?" Lorenza said, draping her arms around him. "Maybe you could pass off as a Dornishman if you manage to eat our peppers without crying, but Ser Daniel and Ser Tristan..." she trailed off doubtfully.

////////////////// Baldric and his crew settle down in an inn, the discussion around the table is the apparent end of the war, including the fall of Harrenhall and Dragonstone. Rumor says that the Traitor Erik Cold Iron was killed in single combat but Lord Rheagar Velaryon disappeared from Dragonstone as the Citadel fell.

Baldric listens intently to the conversation but says nothing, Baldric was drinking the watered down dreg that this innkeeper called wine. "This doesn't farewell for our next wage," Baldric says softly to his crew outside of hearing of Daniel Lannister and Ser Tristan.

"Time to find another patron, then?" Lorenza whispered. "Someone with a bit more loose gold to throw away?"

Ser Tristan had also over-heard the discussions about Dragonstone's fall. He was encouraged though by the rumors that Lord Rhaegar had not been captured. He glanced over at the table where Baldric and his crew were talking softly.
He looked over at the young Lannister knight. The youth had been a disappointment so far, more interested in drinking and whoring than his mission and seemingly at his wits end to know what to do. The situation needed to be salvaged.
He approached Baldric's table.
"Well Baldric. What are your intentions? My mind is to find a trustworthy Dornish guide and use him to find any rebel forces we can join up with.

Baldric looked at Ser Tristan with a friendly smile, "I was just discussing that issue with boys and lady boss," he looked around at the others, "we was thinking we might go looking for that next job, we escorted the boy like we said but since we can't return him to Dragonstone we'd settle for the pay we got up front. I think your cause will need the gold more now."
Baldric looked at Ser Tristan not sure how the man would take the news.

Ser Tristan merely nodded at Baldric's words. It was no surprise.
He jerked his head towards Daniel Lannister and muttered under his breath.
"The boy has been somewhat.....uninspiring. Lord Velaryon would be most disappointed."
Tristan sighed in resignation.
"And given what I'm hearing about Dragonstone, in your place I would probably do the same."
He dropped his voice so that Daniel and any other inquisitive ears at the neighbouring tables would not overhear.
"However it's a good bet that Lord Velaryon has escaped from Dragonstone. There's been no news or rumors of his capture."
He dropped his voice even further so only Baldric could hear.
"Lord Velaryon has been squirrelling away gold for some time, in case Dragonstone was attacked and fell. If he has escaped, then he has gold and the means to hire men. It was always his plan that if we were unsuccessful in Pentos then we should head to Dorne. I think that is what he intends as well."

"That don't surprise me," Baldric said as he scratched himself between the legs. "Well if you are in need of my services and you have the coin then you can send me a message through Olivia she works at this establishment. She'll know 'ow to find us. I know you can handle yourself but be careful ay?" Baldric says standing to leave.

Ser Tristan nodded and in a low voice said.
"I did overhear that rebels are possibly in the mountains near Vaith. I believe that's not too far from here. Have you any recommendations for a guide to take me there?"
