"Yes it is time for the Reach to no longer be pulled down by the rest of Westeros. I love Callen but he is not a good King with mine and Aaron's and you Coz we will raise Barrets son to be a fine King of the Reach."

"There hasn't been a King of the Reach in over 500 years, do you really think Callen will sit back and let a sixth of his kingdom just slip away."

Callen is to be escorted out of the hall if he so chooses.

OOC: I'm totaly stealing this from somewhere else.
IC: Callen walked right past Tallahar, his head held high. He went and stood on a table. And then turned, holding out his arms.
"Friends, Reachmen, honourable lords and ladies, lend me your ears; I come to mourn Barret, and find his memory and honour spit upon. Lord Barret was a great man, a loyal man. The noble Lord Fossoway has told you Barret was a traitor: For if this document is true, And if Barret did indeed write it, which I doubt, it means that he was a conniving, and greedy man, intending to place a crown on his head and break his oath. This is not the Barret I knew, that you knew, for he was the Hero of the North, the man who fought beside me at Moat Cailen, a traitor? No, of course not. But noble Lord Fossoway would have you believe so. Then again perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps Lord Fossoway is correct— For Aaron Fossoway is an honourable man; Come I to speak in honour of Lord Barret. He was my friend, faithful and just to me: But Lord Fossoway says he was ambitious, a crown stealer, and an oathbreaker; And Lord Fossoway is an honourable man. He fought in the north, was my good brother, and took not but a sword for his services: Did this in Barret seem a traitor? When my rule was in danger, and rebellion was festering in the North, Barret answered my call : If that is the mark of a traitor, then traitors should be made of sterner stuff: Yet Lord Fossoway says he was a traitor; And Lord Fossoway is an honourable man. You all did see, when at the tournament I offered him rewards, and he only took a sword and a title: was this a traitor? Yet Aaron Fossoway says he was a traitor; And, sure, he is an honourable man. I speak not to gain glory for myself, But here I am to speak what I do know. You all did love him once, not without cause: What cause withholds you then, to honour his memory? O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, And men have lost their reason. Bear with me; My heart is in the coffin there with Barret, And I must pause till it come back to me. Honour Lord barret, remember his loyalty. Remember my good brother."

OOC: I love this: . Did this in Caesar seem a traitor? IC: The King is largely ignored by the masses of cheering nobles as they dance and drink and eat. He appears to be a priest preaching to an empty sept.

Some nobles listen with out seeming to, glancing at the guards at the doors.

"Your Grace Aaron loved his cousin as did I. Plus you hated Barret I was there the day you gave him the Mormonts sword there was nothing but hatred between you two." Tallahar yells as loud as his voice allows.
Tallahar looks to Rindwynd, "Its to late now."

OOC: Edited for grammer and other such things. Also, Callen would not be saying this in a monotone voice like a priest. The actual speech by Mark Antony was a rabble-rouser, and it actually incited revolt. I don't expect a revolt to happen, but Callen's speech would not be boring.

As the speech concludes, household guards are brought to escort Callen to his chambers somewhere inside the Keep. He is to be well guarded.

Callen stared at the man. "What reason did I have to hate the man? Without him the battle of Moat Cailen would be lost. In the trial I asked you to stand by me, to help me help Barret. And you accepted. During the trial by combat I ensured that Lord Barret's champion would not be harmed. What saw in my eyes was not hatred, but envy, and jelousy. Because Barret kept his honour in such a place as King's Landing, and I can not measure up to him. Of my actions to help you can attest, do not rid yourself of any left over honour Lord Tyrell."

"You were angry at the man I was there the day you cursed his name. I love you like no other man Your Grace but this is best for the Reach and Haley. I am truly sorry." Tallahar steps back as the guards take him.

Symond watches all the proceedings with wide eyes and a smile on his lips. There will be a great song in this.

OOC: I'm quite aware where you selected the piece from, but I must refute your point-- this is a party for the independence of the Reach in which you're preaching -against- it having independence.
