A wooden keep near the coast, Deepwood Motte is the home of the Glovers.

A single Ironborn longboat sails into the little port near the keep. It flies the Coldiron barrel-and-axes, and under that a white peace banner. After docking, Erik steps off the ship with 30 of the crew as guards and makes his way toward the keep, to speak to Lord Glover.

They are lead into the keep, Lord Glover limps out frowning, "Yes?"

Erik gives a short bow and smiles, "Lord Glover. I am Erik Coldiron, Lord of Bear Island. I thought we might talk a little politics."

Glover eyed the other man with a barely concealed distaste. "Of course."

"Now now, no need to look so sour. I'd just like to ascertain your loyalties. I suppose you've heard that your Lord Regent is a fugitive?"

"Yes. By the man who killed the Regent as I heard. It seems like he was serving the King." Glover replied as cold as the wind on the sea.

"Your news is old. The Regent lives, and Lord Horas has not been convicted of anything. Lyas attempted to instigate a revolt against the crown, starting with having his niece level false accusations against me. I'm not sure about the whole thing, all that plotting runs my head ragged. I will put it plainly. Do you stand with the Boltons, who are sure to get themselves killed? Or would you rather not have the North torn apart by another costly war?" Erik's face grows serious for the first time, doing his best to match the other man's demeanor.

"I do not want a war. I am not a Bolton man. I stand with the King and Lord Stark." Glover frowned.

Erik grins. "Wonderful. Then you won't mind letting my men land here, I suppose. Provisions would be welcome, as well. Maybe a place to stay for the night. Oh, and calling up some troops to support us, of course."

"You are not my Lord. You may not land here, unless you burn my keep to the ground." Glover stood up and stumbled, but seethed with anger.

Erik rolls his eyes, "Oh, cut the theatrics. I'm ready to pay for use of your port, and anything else. I have no intention of burning anything between here and the Dreadfort any time soon."

"If I get commands from the King I will try and apprehend Lord Bolton. But if you put on solder on Northern land Lord "Coldiron" then we are at war. I know what your kind did to the Riverlands under no approval from the Old King." Glover spits with anger.

Erik blinks a few times. "Entirely different circumstances. Lord Glover you have my word that my troops will not harm your land or your people. But if you insist on being obstinate, I can find safe harbor elsewhere."

"If I hear they land in the North Coldiron we come for you. You may leave now." Glover replies.
