"A boy has to learn how to rule eventually." Sylas puts in. Eying Roose slightly.

"Oh but he has learned much. I try to help him but he always forces himself to make the decisions. Which is why I am here. He could not come because he is doing to much at Karhold. He has called his banners and a force at least 3,000 strong now camps outside of Karhold. He rides amongst his people everyday. He truly is a great boy."

Why would this knight think that telling of his 8000 men be beneficial to a war meeting? Sylas thought to himself. This could get pretty interesting.

OOC: It would probably be a little smaller than that. Probably closer to 2000-3000 men. 8000 men is nearly a fifth of the northern strength when there are tons of other major lords too.

"Good, I'm glad that he's called his banners. Now he can have them rendezvous with us either here or at Moat Cailen. You say that he wants to learn how to be a soldier, and yet he refuses to join the council of war."

"I'll lay down the differences between the rebellion and this war." He remembered talking about this very subject with Benjen Stark. "First: The lords of the north were divided amongst themselves. 2: They could not defend Moat Cailen from northern attack because they could not spare any other men to meet a landing force. Third: They had no allies in the south."

"So we have allies in the South? We have an army that is small compared to the South it has happened once and if we march to War it will happen again. We can not defeat the might of the South."

The South is divided itself, Sylas thought. You have to have better arguments than that.

"We have 42,000 men ser, 45,000 if the good Lord Edmure decides to obey his liege lord and come to us."

"But why should we go to War with the South? What they do is there own matter I believe it would be a waste of good North mens live to involve yourself in this damn Civil War."

[Percy Rivers]

Roose looked at him impassively. "Are we, or are we not part of this realm, ser?"

"Yes you are but there must be a reason why the North would march South. You would also march against the King. Your Cousin I believe so what would you do if you were to win this War? Kill the King become a Kinslayer and Kingslayer."

[Percy Rivers]

"The King is a boy of four. You have my word that no harm will come to him from my hand. Should we find victory I will not remain in the south, I am no seeker of power." He kept his face hard, "You are a follower of the Seven, are you not Ser Nathan?"

"Yes I am. If you are not a seeker of power why go South at all. Only death and intrigue is down there. Why do you think I have stayed North for so long. My family like it here much more then in the Reach. If I was you Lord Stark I would close the boarder and ignore the realm until War is finished."

[Percy Rivers]

"If you were me you would have us sit here, and do nothing. You sound more like a Lannister than a northerner Ser Nathan." He seemed to be appraising the knight. "I judge you to be a good man Ser Nathan, what was said in your vows when you took the knightly path?"
