OOC: I think it's more that not showing up would be a slap in the face to your liege lord...a terrible political move especially for one who has only recently been acknowledged as a lord.

OOC: It's been a short while for us. But in Game time it's about a year and a bit. So he's not really new to them.
And he sent Nathan his closet friend and adviser to figure out what is happening. Doesn't mean I won't join just that I want to know what is happening first.

OOC: Sorry, I forgot it was Edmure. And yet, all of Edmure's advisors would be northern, and with Roose. Edmure, if he wasn't being constantly watched by his father, would most likely follow northern ways and customs. Edmure liked the Boltons, including Arya, as well as Lyas's dogs. There is no reason for him not to come.
"The Regent and the Hand are sound statesmen, but war is fought as much with swords and tactics as it is with daggers and shadows."

OOC: There's every reason for him to send a adviser first. Your planning on going to War with all the southern parts of Westeros. Thats already been done and you all got slaughtered. He's Lord because of that. He doesn't really want to make the same mistake.

"Daggers and shadows are only one way to fight unhonorably. You have to be willing to betray to lie to misdirect. To make deals with Others if necessary."

OOC: Let's shift this to the OOC thread, we're cluttering this space up. Also, why not just have Edmure come, he can play in the snow on Winterfell while Nathan attends the meeting?

"Some would call that making alliances, hardly unhonourable." He looked Sylas in the eye, "We can continue this particular conversation later, privately.

"Of course my lord." Sylas bowed his head slightly.

"We are to gather our men at Moat Cailen. Lord Bolton, I believe you already have ten thousand men there?"

Sylas nods.

"Good." He looked around the godswood, most of the lord's have gathered there. "I see all but three. Where are Lord's Manderly, Dustin, and Karstark?"
A booming voice came from behind the lords. "Pardon me my lord. I am Ser Edward Manderly." The man was huge, and every step he made caused his fat to jiggle. "My lord father, well, ah...he's unable to sit a horse to tell the truth."
Roose kept his lord's face on, and nodded gravely, though he struggled to do so. "Understandable."
The representative of House Dustin came forth. "My lord was hunting in the Wolfswood when the message was recieved, when he returns we will inform him immediately."
Nodding again, Roose turned to the last representative, Ser Nathan. "Where is the Lord of Karhold?"

Nathan smiles a warm fatherly smile to Roose, "M'Lord Lord Karstark has sent me here to speak for him. He is currently busy at Karhold he send his regret. But I am his closet friend and his most loyal adviser. M'lord he wishes to know why you march to War. To him it seems like folly did you learn nothing from the last Rebellion in the North."

Sylas thought for a moment. He had actually enjoyed the last Rebellion in the North...one of the few.

Roose answers the smile with a cold look from his grey eyes. "What is he doing that is causing him to be so busy he does not answer his liege lord's call?"
