Hodrick mounted his horse and pulled his black cloak around him. His group of calvary stood on a small hill overlooking the camp of the deserter black brothers. The men waited, some quietly joking, a few dicing, but most just staring in silence. When a man came riding through the trees some jumped in their saddles, and a few almost cried out, but were silenced quickly. "Hodrick," the man said, "The other camps have been assaulted, give the word and we'll move out."
