The champions of the Battle of the Wall feast to each other, inside the warm great hall of Winterfell and all around the castle in (colder) pavilions, tents and so forth. Lord Benjen Stark is the host of this feast.

Lord Rhodri Royce attends the feast but is anxious to return to the Stormlands. There is unfinished business there.

Lord Tallahar wals amongest the victores the feast is happy to be alive but, looks at every man with anger in his eyes, Donal was a Tyrell not a Royce or a Lannister. The people who knew him well remember him.
he walks over to his cousin Rindwynd." They make me sick"

"Whats that cousin." turning to the young Tallahar with a puzzled look on he face.

Lord Danforth Yew enters the feast with a large smile on his face. Immediately he sees Lord Benjen and walks over to him. Grabbing the man in a warm hug he kisses him on either cheek. "This is a wonderful feast. The spread is varied and splendorous. Not Stark at all." Lord Yew laughed hard at his own joke. He laughs really hard. He bends over at the waist laughing. Wiping away tears he notices that Benjen Stark is not laughing at all.
Standing back up Lord Yew looks at him in confusion, "You see I said the feast wasn't Stark. And that is your houses name. But it also means... damn... I can not think of another word for stark. Give me one moment." Lord Yew scrunches up his face in deep thought, after five minutes he gives up, "Any way it is a play on words. It was quite funny I assure you."

Elane sat quietly while the ladies chattered around her, bright as birds and as drunk on victory as the men. Only Nymeria Waynwood had neglected to join the feast; she was with Ser Garrett up in the maester's chambers. Elane raised her cup and murmured, "Ser Donal Tyrell," and then drained it. She remembered their last conversation.
"One House must be destroyed," she repeated.

Lilith comes to sit with Elane and overhears her toast and wonders which house she means. She has been out of the pull and tug of politics for so long. She shivers in fear that she means the Lannisters for that would mean she would be torn asunder in that fight.

Elane smiles at Lilith, but her face is solemn and calm. "Auntie," she said quietly. "It is good to see you. Where is Petra? Sleeping, I'm sure."

Lilith grinned. It was such a pleasure to be around Elane again. "Sleeping with luck is probably the best description of the situation" she answered. "Her guard has strict instructions to not let her go out to see where the giants were, which she tried to do last night."

"Those giants were savage," Elane said with a shudder. "Almost as big as their mammoths, and I only caught a brief glimpse of those. They are awe-inspiring, nevertheless."
She took a sip of her wine, gazing meditatively into a candle on the table. "When are you going to get back into your old life, Auntie? Our world. The smallfolk aren't the only ones who need you in these times."

"As you know, I was haunted by the deaths at the Rock. I was driven to leave by souls who could only be assuaged by working for life. The Battle of the Wall feels like a bookend to that, the dead don't feel like they grab at my sanity as they did. And Petra needs some training in the ways of silks as well as steel. So perhaps one day in the not so far distant future I will return to the world we grew up in, but not yet, not yet."

"Will you be going to King's Landing, or to Runestone? I'm probably going to go with Rhodri to Storm's End. He's made me his advisor, did you know that? And I get a handsome income out of it too - and Storm's End is such a beautiful place to live in."
OOC: Rhodri, I don't think we really discussed the income bit, but I just threw it in there, so whatever, it doesn't make a difference.

"It is too far ahead to think of such things as life after this band, we have travelling yet to do, but know my band and I will respond if you ever need us."

"That is comforting, dear aunt," Elane said with a smile. "Perhaps it is restful to be outside the world of intrigue."

"I have needed it, and have learned much from the experience. I am not the woman I was. I hardly recognize that figure in silks."
