The old but sturdy hall of Winterfell, was decent in size-- but small when compared to the size of other great keeps. The stones of Winterfell were now dusted in snow, as were many of the townfolk.

Lord Benjen Stark and his good-brother Jamie Tallhart walked out of the cold and into the keep, covered in snow. They had returned from a blacksmith's shop, where Jamie had bought new steel.
His wife, Claire Tallhart, and their children Brandon and Edwyle had returned from a trip to Torrhen's Square. Benjen embraced Claire and kissed her, pleased to see her safe and warm in the keep, oncemore.
Benjen sat with his two sons at a small round table in the hall. He had dusted off a tome of Winterfell's history and began to recite it to his children, as a story.

"Years ago, the North was just snow, ice and dirt until the hero, Bran, built Winterfell. In addition Bran was the first Stark, your earliest ancestor. Bran Stark also created the Wall, which protects us from the wildlings that threaten us..." He continued, but looking at his kids he noticed Edwyle beginning to fall asleep. Recognizing it must nearly be the middle of the night, Benjen carried his sleeping child bed while Claire walked with Brandon- who was slightly more awake.

The meal at the great hall was simple, much of the food being left overs from the previous victory feast, but atmosphere for the impromptu wedding breakfast for Lilith and Piers was jolly nonetheless.

When some wag at the feast shouted "The bedding, the bedding!" Piers's eyes met Lilith's with a look of pure longing. He nodded fractionally towards the door and she nodded in return.
Soon they were slipping back to the camp for a few stolen moments.
