In the last few days quite a few people had been arriving in Runestone due to the things that were happening in the Eyrie.
But one was rather more interesting then the others to him, since those others wouldn't certainly talk with him about the high politics. It was some uncle returned from across the Narrow See.
Laren spotted Andrew and Owen sitting in the courtyard and walked over to them.

Andrew looked up at his nephew and nodded.
"Laren Royce, I presume. I am Andrew Royce a sort of uncle to simplify our kinship. The boy over there is Owen Baelish, my sort of squire and friend. It's good to finally meet you, it seems that we've been able to miss each other with so many new people running around here these days. Why are the all here?"

"Uncle" Laren nodded in greeting and looked at Owen as well.
"I've been helping the maester in the last few days. It's been a while since his ravens had been so busy. There was a conference in the Eyrie and now that the snow has allowed them to come down they are continuing it here it seems. But unfortunately no one tells me much about what's happening... but I belive you've met Lord Jon?"

"Yes, he was kind enough to let us stay here, but I'm not sure what happens now. He hasn't been able to see me since then." Andrew said.
Owen looked at Laren.
"So do you know how to ride?"
He had tried to find someone to teach him, and Andrew wasn't that good to teach him anything that he hadn't already. Since they had come of the ship Owen found that he liked feeling the ground under his feet instead of deck on a boat. Andrew on the other hand missed being out on the sea as hell.

"Yes, of course I know how to ride. I think everybody around here does. So why are you asking?"
Laren examined Owen closer. He didn't look much like a horseman.
"Do you want me to take you out for a ride? I could show you around Runestone, if you like. Though it could be difficult to get a pair of decent horses, since the Master-of-horse and his son, do not really like me." he had to chuckle, thinking about Timmet "But that's a differnt story."

Owen smiled.
"Around here maybe all of you ride, but where I was raised noone did really, I was raised riding in a carriage and then on a boat, so riding these smelly animals is not was I was expecting coming here. But life is full of surprises it seems."
He shrugged.
"I don't care as long as they don't throw me off. You can tell me the story on the ride"

"All right. We'll see how I can help you with that."
Laren smiled at Owen and squinted up at the sky.
"Well, looks like there won't be snow, at least for some hours. If you want to and have time we could go now."
Laren looked from Owen to Andrew.
"Are you going to accompany us, Uncle?"

"Have time? I have all the time in the world. Nothing seems to happen here, so this might be the highlight since I came here" Owen answered with a grin.
Andrew had been lost in thought, so when Laren asked him if he wanted to come.
"No, horses are nothing for me. I'm born and bred on the sea. Land is all I can handle."

"Okay, then let's go to the stables to see if we can get two horses."
To Andrew " I hope we'll soon meet again Uncle. I would like to hear some of your stories from outside of Westeros"

Owen rose from his seat.
"Let's go then, Laren"
He moved towards the stables.
Andrew nodded.
"I'll see what stories I can come up with until you are gone"

They went over to the stables to get two horses.
---------------------------------------------
It had been easier then expected to get the horses, since only one of the younger stable boys had been present, who didn't question them when they saddled two for them. It might have been a differnt matter if they had ask him to do it for them. After some help from Laren Owen made it onto his horse and they went out of Runestone.
"Perhaps it would help if you hadn't that do-or-die look on you face. There are worse things then riding a horse. You're a Baelish right? Have ever seen the lands of your family?"

Owen looked at Laren.
"No, I have been to this Westeros for a week or two, and I didn't even know I had lands"

"And your parents never told you anything about where you're from?"

"Sure, my father mentioned Westeros a time or two, but he didn't speak of it that much, I think he missed it too much to talk about it"

"I see. So why did your father chose to stay abroad?"
