Tedmyn's Down

[House Dustin]

A small village deep in the Vale of Arryn, to the northwest of Strongsong. A rough place on top of a squat hill surrounded by wilderness and mountain. A small amount of farming goes on, as well as trade with the clans. It is protected by a small stone tower, 40 feet tall and a wooden stockade.

[Lord Rhodri Arryn]

A handful of horsemen carefully lead the young lady of Tedmyn's Down, the only daughter of Ser Odhar Royce, the local lord. Watchful of any Clansmen, they guide her first to the Gate of the Moon, where she is introduced to the Lord Arryn's court, and on to Gulltown where she is to take ship.

Tears come to the eyes of Malla, Odhar's wife, and he comforts her gently as they watch their frightened young daughter ride away. Of their children only young Scot remained under their roof. The boy was bewildered, nearly as much as their parents, who never thought their status would merit their children marrying for station.

[Ellinda]

The snow storm that had hit the North with a fury now spreads and starts moving further south. Heavy flakes blanket the world, creating white out conditions. A bitter cold cuts through clothing and skin.
