"Rape?" Alliser grew pale. "Will you protect me?"
He drummed his heels against his cow, quietly singing, and it made her quickly trot to the front of the group.

Angala was surrounded by a madman and would be murderers. She could tell from the sour leaf. She had always hated when the Black Shields she grew up around chewed sour leaf. She straightened her shoulders and stared straight ahead of her. Her duty to the good name of Lord Baldwin Lannister would get her through.

Bronn formed the men up in a column. Alliser following from behind. He leaned over to Angala, "Alright boy," He said, emphasizing the word boy, "Keep this up until we get well into crownland territory, then we'll take you to the king."

The troop marched on through changing landscape. Angala was amazed that the cow was keeping up. Must be an interesting perspective, seeing the world through the eye of a cow.

During the long cold nights the group would camp off of the road, after a time the hills of the Westerlands began to shrink. They were nearing the crownlands, and the risk of pursuit by the Lannisters grew smaller and smaller the closer they came to King's Landing.

The landscape grew more and more familar as they travelled to King's Landing. The trees and hils began to look like the ones Angala grew up with.

When word reached them from passing travellers that the Hand was coming with a great army, Mad Alliser stopped and refused to continue with Angala and Ser Bronn. For a moment they wondered if he meant to fight with the Hand.
"War makes people sad," Alliser said, in woodenly cheerful voice. "I will ride for Lord Rhodri's forces." And with that he turned the dun cow, and rode away from them.

OOC: yeah, I didn't log in for a while, so I missed all this.
As Alliser rode, he met more passing travellers, who brought rumors that another army would be coming up the Gold Road. The cow turned north of her own accord, and nothing Alliser sang or did could dissuade her.

The Healers' Band made their way nearer the Rock. Apprehension again hit Lilith about the upcoming battle.

It was a bitter cold evening and somehow the tent mattress Lilith used to sleep on easily didn't seem so comfortable any more. She was getting spoiled by the soft life. She hardened herself though with the thought of the danger all the troops streaming to Casterly Rock were in, from the fresh faced boys to the grizzled old men.
