Rhodri is standing at the back of the hall, staying only long enough to pay his respects. He finds the situation sickening.

Garrett approaches Lord Rhodri and tells him what has passed in his mind and repeats his conversation with Donal Tyrell.

"Do your service with him, and do it honorably. You were right to offer your sword, and I bid you serve him as long as he requires. This has been a bitter day, I know, and more bitter for you than most. But each man in here has seen a bitter twist in their lives, I assure you, a close family or friend dead or gone." Rhodri pauses to think of Selwyn. "It will give you the steel you lack, and you will return to my service a better knight than you would have ever been otherwise."

"Thank you, my lord." Garrett said. His voice did not betray his emotions.
Tommen left the hall quietly. Garrett was a fool.

Garrett left the hall to gather his belongings and saddle his grey courser. He paused only to send a letter of farewell to Lady Sara Lannister, and to bid his brothers and Royce kin good bye.
