Alyssa glanced up to see Xavier from the kennels wink at her with gusto. She grinned impishly in return and shot a glance at Aerie to see if she had noticed him. Aerie seemed deeply absorbed in brooding darkly, starting alternatively at the floor and the crowd and squeezing in a scowl in between. Alyssa rolled her eyes in exasperation. She glanced back to Xavier in time to see him wave over Ser Jast of all people and begin conversing rapidly with him, gesticulating to the door with fervor. Interesting. “Aerie, look, it’s your dear friend Ser Buttocks and the guard from yesterday. They seem to be discussing something if importance. Shall we join them?” Aerie followed her gaze to the men and seemed to snap from her reverie.
“Yes, I think we shall. I think they may be talking of things of interest.” The two made their way through the crowd and approached the conversing men silently. “Why, if it isn’t the Man-Squire and our friend from yesterday,” Aerie began cordially, beaming up at them in feigned surprise. “Are we disturbing something important?” Alyssa grinned at Aerie ‘subtlety’ and shrugged humorously, taking in the men with thoughtful consideration. “Yes, we meet again,” she said, gracing the guard with a warm smile and smirking up at Ser Bottom with sly humor.

Horas Blackwood makes his way over to Aerie, smiling in greeting. "Did you enjoy the archery contest today, cousin?" Horas asks, "I thought you would enter for a certainty. I wish you had, now, if only so you could have defeated Lord Yew and spared us his endless speeches on how to compensate for crosswinds or excessive humidity." Horas smiles pleasantly to show that he means no real ill to Danforth Yew. Aerie frowned up at her cousin with sudden grief, casting Alyssa an apolegetic glance and sucking in a deep breath of air. "I'm afraid we did not get much sleep," she said slowly, her voice deliberate with caution. "Alyssa might have won us the honor. She has a fine hand with the bow. I prefer the sword myself. I was planning on entering...but, things did not work out as we had hoped. Silly us. You know how women are. We stayed up half the night discussing the highlights of the splendid feast." It was half true, and that would suffice. Horace did not need to know the details of yesterday. Aerie was relieved Kennos had not relayed the events to him. That would only land her in a pot of boilinf water with Horace and her parents.

Ser Jast turns around, and Ser Hill smiles at Alyssa warmly. Xavier is the first to speak, "Greetings miladies. Nothing of great importance. I was trying to get Vikter to join in the festivities in here." he gestures at the door, "Because my esteemed commander has decided the best way to pick his Team for the Pageant is a drinking contest." He rolls his eyes. "But Ser Jast has proven more reluctant then one of those northern maidens." He shrugs at the end, and keeps his eyes on Alyssa.
Jast sips occasionally from his flask during the diatribe by Ser Hill. And then says, "I will not do it. I have more constructive uses of my time." Turning his eyes to Aerie, "How long do you plan on playing this Man-squire game? It lost its humor ages ago." His face seldom changes its expression.

"Is that so?" Horas looks at Aerie very pointedly for a moment, then takes another sip of his wine. "I am curious what you make of these 'highlights'. What with a duel, a murder in the kennels, and the pair in Baratheon colors, strange things have been going on lately. I hear a ship caught fire in the harbor last night as well. Perhaps it is simple coincidence and bad luck... but perhaps not."

Aerie listened to Ser Hill’s explanation carefully, but frowned a tad when he did not mention anything of great interest. So nothing had happened…yet. She let out a derisive snort at the ‘festivities’ the men were speaking of. “A contest to see you can get drunk the most without sicking up all over themselves? Should I still feel safe if these are the type of men who guard the Rock?” she demanded, wishing that her dour mood would stay out of her words and leave innocents be. She immediately regretted her tone. “I see you have grown old of your name,” she said to Ser Jast in a kinder manner, trying to make up for her earlier testiness. “Well, if you insist on being called something else, I shall think up a new name for you, but I’m not in the most creative of moods, so perhaps we will stick with Ser Jast. I will admit it is a pity I won’t be seeing you make a fool out of yourself piss drunk. It may have given me a laugh.”
Alyssa gave Aerie a measured look. “Oh, stop acting so sour. I think it’s a brilliant idea! Do you think they’d have me? I think I would like to get very drunk right now and knock somebody on his ass. A pity. I bet I can hold down my drink better than most. Xavier, you will not be joining in the fun?” She laughed merrily, patting Aerie on the arm energetically in hope of evoking a response. “Ser Jast, do not be so modest. Is he always so restrained?” She grinned at Xavier for a moment before adding, “Ah, not when he is staring at bottoms, however, I’ve been told.”
“Alyssa, you are being especially boorish tonight,” Aerie hissed like a dignified cat, turning to her cousin brusquely. She did not know why she was acting like such an asshole. Perhaps it was the sleep deprivation and lack of solid answers that was getting to her. She shook her head as if to release her cold thoughts and managed a passable smile, avoiding his probing stare. “Yes, it seems everything has erupted at once. Perhaps it is having so many people from so far off crammed into one hall, or perhaps it is something else entirely, something…intentional. I wonder if it has all been pulling our attentions in the wrong direction,” she mused softly, her eyes seeing beyond Horace and boring into the wall. “I wonder…I did not know a ship caught fire,” she said sharply, refocusing on him and frowning. “Do any of you know the details of that?” She extended the question to all. This is a lot to look into. Murders, fires, strangers, fights, and duels. What's happening? Suddenly, she felt strangely exhilarated.

Garrett Redfort, apparently undaunted by his middling performance in the archery, accepts rounds of wine from friends at a table where the contest's winners are also sitting.
Elane enters with Ser Alliser, but they part in the hall. They have spoken already in private.
Tommen broods in a corner. His brothers beat him every time, and he never performs well in tournaments.

Donal comes across to Lord Rindwynd "Are you ok, my brother? I can scarely believe that you were accosted in Lord Lannister's own hall. His control over his men must be poor indeed to allow such shameful behaviour towards his guests. You should have broken the man's jaw for his impudence." Donal smiled at his brother "You are picking up the bad habit of diplomacy from Gathor I think, but it is of no account. Every man and lady in this hall has seen the courtesy of the Lannister's for what it is and we perhaps we can turn this incident to our advantage. After all, if the Hand cannot control his own court, what hope for the kingdom?"

"Well cousin, it is true that I am no lord. I am merely the, ah, black rose of the family so to speak." Donal smiled "It is only thanks to my sadly departed father that I am even able to carry my family name after all. And I find my duties as regent keep me busy enough these days. Do you think you will do well in the joust today?"

"Ah the joust are you thinking about betting for me my cousin well i may wait to see how Rindwynd goes before i enter it would be sad for other houses if two Tyrells were champions, Cousin you are as much as kinsman to me as Gathor or Rindwynd is your Bastardship has never been a problem for me you are a Tyrell that is it" Tallahar anger seems to be fading with the joyful speech with his cousin

"Well certainly those Lannister scum have done us a service in motivating Rindwynd for the tourney. When Rindwynd rides towards Clegane, he merely has to picture their faces on the heads of his three dogs" Donal laughs. "I myself will not be joining the joust. I enjoyed my ride in Storms End but this contest has a sour note for me. Too many unusual things are happening and I sense that there is tragedy around the corner, as Gisella warned me. Watch yourself, cousin."

"Yes do not doubt Rindwynd skill he will so the what training from the reach will do, but it this Garrett Redfort i wish to ride against he is an arrogant cur and i will enjoy bring him down a peg or two."
"Yes jousting is a very violent but a great experience it is better then any drink and more thrilling then bedding any woman"

"It's not the jousting I'm concerned with cousin. People have been murdered both here and in Lannisport. My informants tell me a ship was burned to the waterline last night and no-one has seen the two "Baratheon" imposters since yesterday. Something is going on and there will be more before this tourney is done." Donal clapped Tallahar on the shoulder "I am sure you will do House Tyrell proud in the joust, but I may put a few guards around your lady wife in these violent times, were I you."
