Elane was pleased to see that at least fifty Royce men were in riding condition, if not quite in prime fighting condition. She sought out her sister and cousin, and the four wildlings. "Aunt Lilith has decided we're going to leave the Rock and ride to Storm's End, with our soldiers as an escort," she said.
"Excellent," Aranya said briskly. "I'm tired of this stupid pallet. The stormlands will do nicely."
Selwyn, however, would be going to King's Landing. He glanced at Aranya ruefully.
"Have fun with those bloody Targs," she said, kissing him. "I'll probably see you soon."
"You might not, actually," Elane said. "The Dornish are riding north."

"Storm's End? What in the seven hells is happening now?" says Selwyn. He hasn't been keeping up on the manoeverings of the realm. "And why can't I come? The closest I've gotten to the Stormlands was Littlehay."

"I thought you'd like to join your brother," Elane said. Aranya told Chella to bring her her armor and weapons.

"Aye, but he sent me a message telling me to go to King's Landing and speak for him, but didn't say where he was going. So he head's for Storm's End?"

"Try keeping the Redspear away when a battle's approaching," Aranya laughed as she sheathed her sword and took her spear from Chella. She got a hungry look in her eye. "There is a battle approaching, isn't there, sister?"
"I hope not," Elane said sharply. "After what I've seen these past weeks, we don't need anymore fighting. But it may yet come to that. We may have to defend the stormlands."
"From the sandy Martells?" Aranya smiled. "Get your riding habit, sister. And get Auntie, wherever she is. I'm ready to leave."

Elane shrugged resignedly. Her sister was far too impulsive sometimes. "You may want to get your things as well, if you're coming," she added to Selwyn. "Now that I think on it, Rhodri will probably be there."

Lilith came up to the party.
"I just received a raven. Dorne marches on Storm's End so Elane and I will set up a battle hospital there. Rhodri needs you to act as the voice of the Royce's in King's Landing, my dear Selwyn."
She embraced him warmly, "Such a pity to not be travelling with such a fine knight as yourself. Take care of yourself and do let Elspeth know you are in the city. She knows the same low crowd I do in King's Landing, always useful in these hard times."
The Royce party readied to leave.

Aranya mounted up on her ill-tempered black courser, and Chella, Jach, Lorett and his fellow Milk Snake Culler mounted their garrons behind her. "Ever been to the stormlands, you savages?" she asked as they rode to join the main party. "They're supposed to have big ears, Chella. All that howling wind."

Jach says, "My sons be with Redspear Sisterfucker. I long to see them again and break their noses."

"I lose too many men at this damn rock, but I gained six ears, and they were buried under the ears they cut." Chella spat. She really just wanted to go home but the reputation of the Clans were at stake. She would fight again. Besides she got to fuck Jach and Aranya and whoever else Aranya invited in the tent. Good way to gird your loins for battle.

Lorett and Culler only smiled. They were young and reckless, vicious in battle, and as eager for glory as any knight. The idea of riding to distant Storm's End was an appealing. Besides, red-haired Lorett thought, Ser Edwyn's bastard girl wasn't too hard on the eye.
He glanced at Chella. Good, big teats, the way a clanswoman should be. Almost as good as a Milk Snake woman's teats.

Chella was bored. Her ass had been on a damned backside for waaaaaaay too long. She wanted to get ear, some ass, whatever. She felt like saying "when are we gonna get there to Aranya" but didn't cuz it reminded her of her boys.
