"Perhaps there is hope for our twosome yet" replied Lilith and then she smiled ruefully at her companion. "I am fond of my bed but find that I am choosey about my bed partners. Even a hard bench can bring joy if shared with the right person."
She grinned. "Your Lannister kinsmen have provided me with a very comfortable bed, though a trifle large for one person."

Turning to Elayne, Steffen smiles. "Nay, I was so consumed by jealosy at the prospect of such a bedmate for my young cousin that I decided to give it a miss."

Selwyn approaches the conversation between Steffen and Elayne, and nods to both.
"Ser Steffen. Good to see you. I hear you joined Jon Royce in the Reach -- did you find the Tyrells ripe for plucking?"

"My Kinsmen may have been informed, by an impartial, influential and flexible member of the house, that you preferred large beds. Something about you lying across the width instead of the length." Piers replied, his most practiced devilish smile sneaking across his face, "If you wish I can give you a tour of Casterly Rock's best hard benches. I have seen and visited all of them."

Drinking to the couple Baldwin looked back to Lord Breyn, "How goes the war in the North? Have the Starks stirred at all? Have you thought how this war is going to end? I think we should have focused on Harrenhal, with out the Baratheon Line the rebels have no cause." "There has been little activity in the North, that is to say, there has been none at all. The Tyrells have been quite active, but not the Starks. They sit in there cold fortress, waiting. Waiting for what, none can say." "This war will end in blood, as all wars do. I tell you truthfully though that I cannot envision this war's end. The sides are too evenly matched. If we were to end the Baratheon line, circumstances might turn, but we can not take Harenhall by force of arms alone. We must learn of Targaryen plans and their intentions before we can act fully."

"Have the Targaryen's thought of a diplomatic victory would bring us much closer to a resolution. Maybe the Starks aren't as firmly in the enemy camp as previously thought." Baldwin looked at Breyn trying to gauge his reaction.

"I doubt the Starks would listen. Their bond with the Stag is strong, and they have not forgotten what the Targaryens did to their family so long ago."

"Yes, I heard that the raiding has been quite successful. How are things down there?"

I hoped you passed on my advice on good eating by the way, a commander must be sound of body to be sound of mind." Steffen winks.

"That might be true. Yet they do not move south. I would send a diplomat. The only thing to lose is a diplomat." Baldwin does not seem to notice any of the merriment surrounding him, "I do not think Dondarrion has handled this war very well, hopefully the Targaryen king is a better commander."

"Rhodri fought bravely at Horn Hill, didn't he Selwyn?" Elane said. "With Tarly slain, the Tyrells will have a hard time maintaining their hold on Oldtown and the surrounding lands."

Lilith yawned and looked around her. Sara and Allard were bedded, her Valyrian charges had thankfully drifted off to their own or others' beds. The musicians were packing up and yet the Royces and the Lannisters remained. What were they all waiting for? she thought.
"Unless you need me to flash my other gift and do a finger dance here with you tonight, I am thinking longingly of my large Lannister bed," she said, trailing her hand along Piers arm.
It felt as if a month rather than merely a night had passed.

"That is true. The Targaryens must be informed of our intentions, lest they assume we have something sinister in mind. Who do you propose we send Northward."
After looking around to make sure no one was eavesdropping. Lord Breyn continued. "In another matter, what do you think Dondarrion hopes to gain from this civil war. What have the Targaryens promised him? He was already the Hand of the King before his insurection, what can he hope to gain from Targaryen rule?"

Elane yawned and looked around blearily. "I think I'll go to bed now," she said. "It was a long ride here today, and though the wedding and feasting and dancing and bedding have all been exciting and fun, I think I've worn myself out for today. I'll go to sleep, and look forward to a lazy breakfast tomorrow." She said good night to her kin and took her leave formally of the Lannisters. A maid escorted her up to her room for the night.
