With Gathor Tyrell is so ill his son has started to make the Reach his own. Some of the new changes Barret is instuting are;
1) Barret Tyrell sanctions new and better training of Reach knights
2) Barret Tyrell creates a new force of Reach crossbowmen, and starts researching repeating crossbows as their primary method of attack and defense.
3) Barret Tyrell has established a new method of taxing, focusing more on the wealthy than on the poor. The intended goal is to create a new middle class in the gap between rich and poor.
