A warning to the Riverlords
To all the lords of the Riverlands. My name is Balor Greyjoy and I now sit on the seat of Riverrun. I have taken this from the Targaryen lapdog, Steffan Lannister in the name of your new King, Callen Baratheon. Although you have long feared the ironborn as savages and outsiders, I tell you that we do not come to supplant you. Swear fealty to your new liege and you will remain in your places of honour. I give you this one chance to lay down your arms against the rightful King.
The Blackwoods have ruled poorly and without shame, usurping the riverlands for their own ends and that of their dragon masters. They have now fallen and the Blackwoods will fall with them. Do not make the same mistake. As you may now have already heard, the Starks march for Callen down the neck, the Vale has risen and will march from the east. Do not force us to annihilate you. Riverrun is my example to you. When I offer the hand of peace, I only do so once. Stand against what must be and the ashes of history will blow across your graves and your name will be lost to time, as so many Riverlords have been before you. Callen is more merciful than I. Remember that and bend the knee before we come for you.
Send word to Kings Landing of your capitulation and I give you my word that your lands will be left untouched. Fail to do so and your smallfolk will pay the price for your arrogance and pride.
