Word has spread that Prince Aedon and Prince Baelor have in fact murdered their all of their nephews and Maerys before claiming the throne. Maerys bravely fought to his death against his own Household guard as the traiterous guardsmen turned on him.

King Aemon VI was slain along with his brother, Aegon. Maerys fought valiantly, fighting for his King-- but died by the sword after killing his brother Baelor. The last words on his lips were "Vaellya".

Maerys' children have been arrested and kept under full guard.

All hail King Aedon the First of his name.
