Individual Purchases (Please Read)

THE PERSONAL ECONOMY SYSTEM HAS NOW BEEN SCRATCHED.

Characters from noble families can afford anything short of Valyrian steel for what would be pocket change to them.


If you are not the Lord of a House and wish to make purchases that may help you directly, (such as armor, arms, horses, houses, freeriders, sellswords, etc) that shall be done here. You can earn money doing jobs for people or making business ventures, please talk to the Lord of your House. Each player (who is not a Lord of the House) will start with 5,000 gold dragons.

Those items/people/things available for purchase will be listed here soon. Purchase orders for these are also due every other Sunday at 8PM EST. (Also, without the purchasing of any of these items, you will be assumed to be unequipped. Ie: If you don't buy a horse, you cannot roleplay that you have one)

So I take it we don't automatically start with the items described in our Character Creation thread? For instance, I mentioned a suit of armor, my spear, and my horsemanship -- do I need to "purchase" these from my starting dragons, or is it assumed I have them?

Nevermind, I've figured it out from the initial post. I have to admit it'll be impossible to equip my character to match my description with just 2000 dragons!

In retrospect I think I was too harsh on how much players should start with. The starting amount for players has now been raised to 5,000.

Not to get nitpicky, but it did strike me as odd that a spear cost more than 2x a sword. A spear involves a lot less metalwork; it's just the spearhead, probably 1/3 the metal and effort of a sword. It should actually cost a lot less. This pricing really hits hard when looking at the masterwork crafts.
