Lord Hightower entered. He was clothed in grey velvet with a white satin lining, simple and elegant, though flashier than his day to day clothing. He stood by the altar, waiting for his bride.

Annara had been about to respond to Winifred but she was barely framing the words when the door burst open. Seeing Violet - who she knew by sight despite her refusal to ever receive the woman at the Hightower - she let out a terrible shriek and collapsed against Winifred.
Gwayne turned towards his bride and his mistress and stepped between them "Stop this madness! This is the home of the gods! I will have no fighting in the Starry Sept."

Jennalynn Hightower sat in the front, beside her husband. She was dressed in the finest clothing she felt was appropriate at the wedding, without taking the eyes from the bride. She turned and gasped as she saw the older woman attacking the bride and felt a pang of sadness for her brother-in-law that his wedding was to be tarnished like this, but she remained in her seat and looked at her husband to watch his reactions to the fuss.

Donal looks on from somewhere in the back, he was not entirely sure how he had managed to get himself in the middle of a wedding, he had arrived at the Starry Sept to look at the paintings and maybe a pray a bit but was met with a bunch of people celebrating the wedding of two people who Donal could not see from the back of the Sept.
He was casually petting Syfu under his tunic counting the seconds under his breath to help pass the time before he could leave the celebrations, when the hysterical commoner arrived bursting open the doors. Donal cocked one eyebrow in amusement and wondered who she was to have the nerve of barging into the ceremony.

Gwayne didn't answer Winifred. He looked at Violet wit a worried expression. "You look a mess," he said softly. "Go home and tidy yourself. This behaviour is not seemly. I will speak with you presently, but not like this. You will behave like a lady or I shall not come at all."

Donal smiles inwardly at himself as he realizes the bride and groom are none other then Lord Gwayne and one of the Lady Lannisters, he thinks briefly about going to comforting the distraught commoner but quickly dismisses the thought so that he could see how it continues to play out. The next thought that pops into his head is what makes the men married to Lannister females be driven to such measures of trying to ruin their weddings.

Gwayne had never raised his hand to a woman in anger, but he was tempted now. He put a hand on Violet's shoulder.
"You will leave as I command," he insisted. "Go home. This is not your place. You knew full well that this day would come. I thought you had the courage to accept it with dignity and good grace. Now come, you shame yourself."

Annara woke with a cry and rubbed her face. "Oh, Seven help us! What's happening?"
"Be calm, Mother," Gwayne said. "All is well." He turned to his bride and her grandmother.
"I rather thought the woman knew her place," he sighed. "I apologise for the intrusion, of course. I shall make sure that the impudence is dealt with. In the meantime, will you accept my sincerest apologies?" He looked right at Sansa as he said it.

Donal sighs rather loudly so that those in the immediate seats next to him can hear and sits back in his chair and slouches again, he goes back to counting away the seconds and petting Shyfu.

Gwayne smiled politely at Sansa. He didn't want to give up his mistress, but that depended on Violet.
"Let us speak no more of the matter. It is best forgotten, my lady. You have nothing to fear, I promise you. My wife shall receive all honours due her position and our children too."

Jennalynn had been so shocked by the turn of events that she had just been staring at the common-born woman and over at Gwayne, thanking the Seven, that she hadn't gone through with the plan of marrying Lord Hightower instead of his brother. She would have never accepted such a insult as having the mistress interrupt the ceremony like this without punishing her. She had attacked a highborn lady, which should at least end with throwing the woman in the cells, but she wasn't comfortable enough to shout out her thoughts and with her husband remaining quiet at her side, she remained silent.

Edric, who had been sitting at the front, stood, and left quietly.

Gareth felt considerable sympathy for Violet, given that he disliked his brother's new wife intently. He burst out laughing, making sure that the Lannister girl heard and took a swig from the little wine flask he had brought with him.

"Ah brother." Gareth still chuckling, said to Gwayne, after the ceremony had been concluded. "I do not envy you your marriage bed. You have a harpy within it."
