He nods. "My father used to tell me how the Warrior fights with every man, and the Father in every mans soul. I was destined to be a person that was a conduit for both the Father and the Warrior on the battlefield and in name, the Tullies hold much with the Andals, as a child that is both intimidating and inspiring." He leans forward with a soft chuckle.

"Most women feel the same about the Maiden, Mother and Crone, I suspect," Annara remarked. "I worshipped the Maiden as a young girl, observed Maiden's Day too. But as a wife I was drawn to the Mother. You can't know how hard I prayed for my two eldest, off fighting in the Stepstones. It was no easy time to be a mother. The Mother Above was a great comfort in those times."

He chuckles. "Indeed, my mother would have killed me time and time again if I would have died. I do not know how but I know she would have found a way." He looks to her. "My son was so excited to fight in a war, after taking arrows like needles to a pincushion I think Bennin understood that war is not a game, that if an arrow was a few inches more on target, then he would have been in my stead. Luckly it seems my father was correct for me to be the warriors conduit in times like that."

Annara nodded. "That is fortunate indeed. But it is not for us to question the will of the gods. We are fortunate to have our children living and thriving around us, are we not?"

"Indeed, I am sure our children will be great leaders, my son and your daughter will be the next Lord and Lady of Riverrun, and I will be long done with the Politics and the Diplomacy in the Court of the Seven. Their children and their children will live on though our name our ties of blood, just as I can trace my line back to the first Andals, and yours to the First Men." He smiles.

"Indeed. Though I for one prefer to live in the present, and for the future, than think of the past," said Annara. "The past is done with, after all. But it is right and proper to plan for a hopeful future. I pray that the queen rules us wisely and well with a loyal husband beside her and sons to follow."

"It is not so much of living in the past, but understanding and knowing of it that I think to be important. I also agree, I am glad she was able to save the war from her first few days of Queen, the North declaring themselves a Crusade against the seven only was going to end in unneeded bloodshed for hardly no reason at all. Of my men and theirs." He says to her.

"Yes. It was fortunate indeed. My nephew Leyton rushed to answer the High Septon's call. He is very devout. Have you met Leyton? I think you would like him," she observed./. "He spent most of his youth squiring for Aurane Lannister so I know him but little, but his piety is very strong."

"Did he take his oaths, when I met him he was still a squire." He asked her.

"He is a knight now, yes. Gwayne tells me Lord Lannister knighted him when they were in Kings Landing. But that was not very long ago.|"

He smiles "That is good, he deserves it. I suppose he is on his own to make his own name now."

"Yes, though I know Gwayne will take him into our household as a sworn sword if that is what Leyton wishes. But the decision must be his own. We'll find out when he comes home, I presume. Though it is a shame he could not be here for his cousins' weddings."

"Is he still fighting for the Septon then?" He asked.

"I would assume not, given the news, but we have had no word from Leyton himself," Annara sighed. "That is a little worrying in itself, don't you think?"

"I am very sure that now he has taken his oaths that he can handle himself. I am just sure he is busy with matters and will send word, or even surprise you here." He smiles to her trying to reassure her.
