Kellington stands outside the pot shop, still in his septon garb, awaiting the arrival of the wine merchant's cart driver.

He is still waiting when four large men appear.
"Oi, you the septon?" said the first man. "Got a spot of coin for us?"

"I have only meager alms for the church." he replied humbly, showing them the coppers in his bowl, trying to hide the alarm from his face. "Would you hear the word of the Seven?"

"Boy said you'd have coin on you, if you ain't, it's gonna be his hide." The man replied, "Then his after."

"Boy had some information I thought would benefit the Faith." Rupert replied, feeling the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and the dagger under his robes suddenly feel heavier. "If you have what I asked, you may have his prize."

"Shut that old bastard up," the boy squeaked, for a position on top of a trash pile, a few steps behind the men.
"You had a gold dragon just for a word. You must have more on you, eh? For poor folk like us?"

"Or one lord was just feeling unusually generous when he passed me by. An even such as the coronation has a tendency to bring such men" he repiled, shaking his bowl to show that there was only one gold piece intermixed with the coppers. "Take the coppers as well, if you are in such desperate need and think your eternal soul can abide taking a measly bowl of brown from the mouth of starving men."

"We can always knock him out and search him later," said one of the others stepping forward.

"You'll find only ragged robes, callouses, and the Seven-Pointed-Star for your troubles." he asserted. "Must you resort to violence against a man that offers you his coin freely?"
(Apprentice Persuasion if necessarily)

The man grunts, "Throw it on the ground and run then," the man says.
The young boy laughs, "Have fun at your party Lord Septon." he says, "Out there in the woods drinking with the other rich lordlings."

Rupert does as instructed, tossing the bowl upon the ground on a manner that causes the coins to scatter. In case the ruffians prove untrustworthy he hopes that chaos of coins spread upon the ground in front of a den of poverty will cause enough chaos to aid his escape.
He runs.
