He took off his cloak and held it out to her "Here, put this round yourself and we'll go somewhere safe. If you will let me take you home my sister will give you one of her dresses so you can go home safely."

She looked up at Hightower and nodded slowly.

"Thank you." She said then paused. "My name is Lyelle."

"A pretty name," he said. "Come, Lady Lyelle, let me help you. You do yourself no favours remaining here where you are in danger. I am Gwayne Hightower."

She gave him a small smile and he could see that even though she was upset she was beautiful.

"Thank you." She whispered again.

Lyelle sniffed and nodded slowly.

"If your really do not mind, My Lord." She said.

"I don't mind," he said. "My duty is to help a lady in distress. So shall we go?"

Lyelle nodded, and slipped her arm through his even though he hadnt offered.

Amanda Rhysling entered the gardens with Prince Evan. Turning to him, she said "It really is very pretty here. But I have to wonder why the Northmen believed there were gods in their trees. It seems quite foolish to me."

"The history behind the godswoods had anyways intrigued me.. "He nodded," I have always found that it is better to learn about the things I don't understand. "
