"I haven't yet. I thought it best to speak to you first. I thought of taking a ship out on a pleasure cruise, with food and good Arbor wines. it would be a chance to escape the city and the court."

"How large a ship? How many men can I bring?" Rickon asked.

"I thought we might use mine own ship from the Arbor. I've a crew who have been sitting idle in the local wine sinks at the harbour, so it will be as well to give them something to do. Id be obliged if you did not crowd the vessel with scores of guards - and that will make the secrecy harder to maintain - but I know that you must bring as many as you consider necessary to guard the queen. Perhaps a dozen would serve? Some men of my crew are experienced fighters, should it ever come to that."

"Thank you. Will the day after tomorrow suit? At noon?" Gwayne asked.

Rickon nodded once and returned to his work.

"Thank you. All I need you to do is get the queen to the harbour. I'll fly a pure white banner from my ship so you know which one to come to, then with luck Her Grace will be surprised. Good day, Lord Commander."
Gwayne departed.
