The ancient godswood of Kings Landing

[Marie]

The godswood seemed empty and very peaceful as Izzy entered with Finn.

"It's so beautiful here," she said. "But I must say, Ser Finn, I never knew your father had a son."

[The Stranger]

Finn smiled, "More than one, if truth be told," Finn replied, "But I'm the one who got his charm...allegedly," he chuckled.

[Marie]

"I can see that there may be some truth to that," Izzy replied. "So many men have bastards that you are in good company, I suppose. So you are a knight, then. Did you go to the war with so many of our lords and knights?"

[The Stranger]

"I did not, my lord father did not provide troops, he serves the realm in other ways. In those battles though I have earned my spurs." Finn replied, "how have you adjust to King's Landing?"

[Marie]

"Well enough," said Izzy. "I'm a city-dweller at heart. I am truly not sure which I prefer, Kings Landing or Oldtown. Have you ever been to Oldtown, Ser Finn?"

[The Stranger]

"I have," Ser Finn agreed, "it has its charms to be sure, but it's King's Landing for me. Although perhaps if I had you as a guide, I'd think differently."

[Marie]

"Perhaps you might," she said with a laugh. "You are welcome to visit some time when I am in the city. If you would like to. But I am sure you know more about Kings Landing than I do. A man has the freedom to go where a lady may not."

[The Stranger]

"Anyone can go any place they like," Finn replied with a chuckle, "provided they go undetected of course. But yes I know the ins and outs of it to be sure. Would you care for a tour one day?"

[Marie]

"I would, yes. That sounds ideal." She leaned close. "As long as you don't take me anywhere that a lady shouldn't be? Flea Bottom sounds horrid, for example."

[The Stranger]

"What fun is that?" He asked with a smile, "You know I wouldn't let any ill come your way," He said, "And it would be an experience to speak of."

[Marie]

She pretended to think about it for a moment. "Perhaps it would, but what would be the benefit to me? Would I not be horrified by all the lowborn scum doing vile things to one another? Or do you desire to shock me?"

[The Stranger]

"Perhaps, but then you would press yourself warmly against my arm in seeking respite from these visages, much to my benefit," Finn replied with a chuckle.

[Marie]

"I could do that, certainly," she said. "And would I benefit thereafter? It seems to me I could avoid the danger and the horrid sights simply by avoiding Flea Bottom?"

[The Stranger]

"I don't know, I can think of a few things to your benefit," he chuckled, "But in all seriousness it is not so bad as all that. I think you will find that knowing the lower classes better is a benefit to anyone who would wish to be involved in courtly games."
