Evan looked at the Tully,"Premptive? Really? So you want us to step infront of the sword before it reaches the Riverlands?" He glanced at his sister, then back to Aemon,"And you have some idea that these nefarious characters are aiming their sights on the Riverlands as we speak or was that just an academic question?" "I am not the warrior type such as Lyssa here", he smiled at her,"But I am sure whatever she decides for Dorne to do would be best." //// "What is there to tell except, in it's barreness we have beauty. Our lands provide the fruit of the Seven Kingdoms", she smiled. "You see us as heathens or less worthy compared to your Lords and Ladies, but we are also a strong people." Her eyes sparkled in speaking of her lands,"Dorne welcomes all who come to her, but Sunspear is the jewel of the desert. The water gardens are beautiful, here the children swim... All children, rich or poor share in the joy of swimming in the water. Even our Princes and Princesses join. We love all that we have." Olyna looked at the knight,"You should come visit", she nodded with a smile. Aemon shook his head,"You would not be stepping in front of a sword, the idea is that you would even stop swords from being drawn and vice versa. We would deter anyone wanting to do Dorne harm. ///////////////////////// Meryn closed his eyes when she had started speaking, to better picture her words. He opened them slowly and sighed,"That actually sounds amazing, maybe one day I can visit these Water Gardens." He finished his cup and set it down. Evan stifled his chuckle as his sister once again cut Aemon Tully to the quicks. HE cleared his throat and spoke,"Aemon, I believe your concerns for the Riverlands need to be addressed to Lord Tully, but I agree with Lyssa. If our assitance is needed we will not hesitate to help those we consider our friends." ///// "It would a good thing for you to see new things, yes?", she smiled. "Maybe when you have a chance to see Dorne, I think you will enjoy it." She then stood and filled his glass again with a smile,""As I told you Dorne, welcomes it friends."

"Harold has been a friend to this family for many years. He has always seemed a bit ambitious to his cause for the Riverlands. He is in great pursuit of making allies in the South, b ut as Lyssa said any assistance from us would be futile since we are separeted by such distances."
Evan drank his wine and listened to the conversation between Lyssa and Oswyn. Their words about Lord Tully were true, he is acting nervously. "I myself have no worries about the man, but his grandfather is...... Strange. To pay a house call to Lyssa without announcement and then sit here and almost interrogate us as to our intentions."

"Yes it was", his brow furrowed,"I never met the man but... It just seems strange that their communication was not any better than that to warrant such a visit."
Evan then glanced at Amelia with a grin,"How are you enjoying your meal? I hope it is not too spicy for you?"

Lyssandra chomped on her food with the respite in talk. She wiped her mouth with a cloth and observed Oswyn carefully.

"Remind me not to drink from the Trident. There must be something in the water in those parts." Oswyn said dryly, thinking of the young Tully knight who had been so informal at Tyrell's party.

Evan chuckled,"I have not had the pleasure, but I shall keep that in mind myself." He's took a sip of his wine, looking at Lyssa over the top of his glass.

"Are the two of you planning to stay in King's Landing after the coronation?" She set down her fork and knife and looked at her two guests.

While Amelia did not seem affected by the spicy Dornish fare, Oswyn's face had turned a shade of red and beads of sweat were forming on his brow.
He simply nodded at his wife's response that they would depart the capital after the coronation, but personally knew that would depend on the appointments to the Small Council.

Aemon stood and bowed,"It is not my concerns for the Riverlands, but the whole seven kingdoms that is my concern." He stood,"History has shown that the Seven Kingdoms are rarely far from at each other's throats, so why pretend that war will not happen again." He bowed to the Martells,"I hope you will think on it, good day." He turned and left the room. ////////////////////// Meryn smiled,"That sounds fantastic, maybe one day." He put his glass down and took hold of her hand, intent on pulling her onto his lap. But Aemon walked out and Meryn stood, he looked down at their hands and let go."Grandfather, are you ready to go?" Aemon nodded and together they left.

"There are several council positions open, I thought that the Baratheons would be near the top of the list for them," She studied Oswyn a little bit then looked at Amelia. She should have made a note to not have spicy food for Oswyn but it was her brother that had arranged the meal.

He saw Oswyn's face and smiled when Amelia aided het husband. "I do apologize, Lord Baratheon. Would you looked to have our servant prepare you something different that is not so.... disagreeable?"
The mention of small council positions was a subject Evan wanted to hear about, from the slighted treatment their house had received as of late, he did not see House Martell having a chance. He looked at his sister knowing that he was right.

Lyssandra picked up her knife and fork again to cut off a piece of meet, "There is no position fitting for either of us. I was considered briefly, but," she took some time to chew her food before speaking again, "It would not work." She looked at her brother, "What do you think? I would like it if the Queen was surrounded by those that would teach her how to rule well, instead of making the decisions for her grace." She had a fear that the Tyrell would continue to rule the kingdom on his own, then die and leave a weak monarch in his stead that would easily be controlled by others.

"Truthfully, she is young and needs to groomed by the right people, who are not after their own agenda but in seeing her become strong for all the kingdoms." He sipped his wine,"I also agree with my sister, there is no place for us here on the small council. We have our own affairs to attend to in Dorne." Evan loved the taste of his meal and chewed it slowly.
The small council was a big step but they had many things to prepare for in Dorne, the council would only serve as a distraction to their real objectives.

'Nonsense." Oswyn said, in response to their concern with how he was handling the food before him. "It suits me well." he said, rasping slightly, feeling as if he could spit flames.
"If House Baratheon in chosen to serve the realm in such a manner, we will do so proudly, but I do not know the Crown's mind on the matter. Though you are right, the young queen will need all the sounds counsel she can acquire."

Lyssandra was unsure why any games need be played, "So Lord Tyrell did not meet with you then? He has certainly met with other lords, if not him then the hand." She chewed on her meat slowly, savouring the juicy flavour.
