Lyssandra looked at her brother then to Aemon, "That would be the dowry instead of gold or other fine goods. I am not sure why you are coming to ask me this instead of Lord Harold."

"Lord Harold is held up getting all our soldiers home and into the fields, in short he has a lot on his plate." Aemon frowned,"So a marriage between niece and grandson." He stroked his beard in thought,"When he left Kings Landing for Dorne I was under the impression he was going for you, Princess."

"Not that I am aware of, we are friends and that is why he came to Sunspear, as I have stated before." She folded her hands in her lap.

"I beleive that", Evan nodded,"If Lord Tully has intentions on my sister, as a gentleman, he would have came to me." He touched his sister's hand lightly. "I don't beleive the man has another intentions other than friendship between our houses, save the betrothal."

Aemon shrugged,"Must be the wanderings of an oldman's mind. In that case, how would such an arrangement sound?"

"Marcellus is an Heir", Evan looked at him,"He is next for the throne of Dorne, Since my sister and I are left and we have no children of our own."
"It is sound, unless Lord Tully has a daughter he has not told us about, his niece is the one chosen for the betrothal."

Aemon thought for a moment,"Then onto other matters as it seems everything is in order for the marriage." He leaned forward,"There should be a military alliance attached to this marriage, no? If we are to join houses we would like it to be in blood and strength of arms."

"If there is a marriage then there is a loose alliance between us. Certainly we are not enemies, and I have made it clear our houses should be friends. I am not sure how we could help in a time of conflict, when Dornish soldiers would have to march through Baratheon lands to offer aid. Our fleet is marginal and would also have to sail a large distance putting troops and horse at risk before they even got to the Riverlands."

Evan sat back listening to his sister, her logic was sound. Any war aid from Dorne would be lost in the traveling distance having to pass through so many lands of Westeros.

Olyna sat watching the knight drink his wine,"It is to your liking, Ser?"

"Think of it more like a preemptive alliance, no one wants to fight a two sided war and so having the people to the extreme south on your side helps that." He sat back and articulated in his head what he was about to say,"The Riverlands are vulnerable, we are in the exact center of Westeros with no real geographic borders. But because you are on the other side of the Reach and Stormlands, you would act as a deterrent to anyone with nefarious goals in those areas."

Meryn nodded and continued to sip on his wine,"Olyna, tell me a story about Dorne."

He glanced at his sister, then back to Aemon,"And you have some idea that these nefarious characters are aiming their sights on the Riverlands as we speak or was that just an academic question?" "I am not the warrior type such as Lyssa here", he smiled at her,"But I am sure whatever she decides for Dorne to do would be best." //// "What is there to tell except, in it's barreness we have beauty. Our lands provide the fruit of the Seven Kingdoms", she smiled. "You see us as heathens or less worthy compared to your Lords and Ladies, but we are also a strong people." Her eyes sparkled in speaking of her lands,"Dorne welcomes all who come to her, but Sunspear is the jewel of the desert. The water gardens are beautiful, here the children swim... All children, rich or poor share in the joy of swimming in the water. Even our Princes and Princesses join. We love all that we have." Olyna looked at the knight,"You should come visit", she nodded with a smile.

Lyssandra who was probably one of the worst hosts in Westeros, welcomed the Baratheon guests. "Hello," she said to them as they were ushered in. She wore a dark orange dress with black lace and trim. Her hair was neatly cared for and she generally looked like servants had put a lot of time in making her look presentable. "Welcome to our manse. Prince Evan will be with us shortly. Last minute touches or something of the sort." She rubbed her neck, "Err, Ser Oswyn we have fought before, I mean together, against those in the Stepstones. I have not met your wife though."

Oswyn wore a fashionable black doublet with gold trimmings and pipings. He leaned heavily upon his stag-horn and blackthorn cane, though was getting around infinitely better than the last time he had seen Princess Lyssandra.
"Yes, I hardly recognized you without the armor." he said with a smirk at the effort made to differentiate between their allied campaign and those of a more hostile nature. "You look lovely."

Lyssandra felt relieved that the introductions were over and perhaps that carried over to the look of her face. It was good of her brother to invite the Baratheons, but she could still curse him as she saw fit for being in this position of having to play hostess. She looked over Oswyn then to Amelia. Her gaze went back to Oswyn, "Your husband is definitely a tough man to kill." She turned her head back to the doors to the small hall where they would eat their dinner. "You both look good together."

"Ahhhh", Evan smiled with his hands extended to air happily,"The Baratheons have come." He was dressed in a doublet of orange and gold with black trousers and boots. "I have to admit", he smiled, wagging his finger,"I am surprised, for a small moment I thought you were not going to come," He then chuckled," but I am honored to have you here."
"Lady Amelia, I do not want you or Lord Baratheon to be unnerved in any way", he smiled,"We are your hosts of the evening, please enojoy our hospitality. The table is set and the food is hot, not only from the cooking but from the spices of Dorne." He motioned for them to follow him into the dining room as the servants were still placing dishes of food on the table as they sat.
"Any wine of your choosing is available, whatever you wish."
(OOC: Now imagine him saying it in Banderas voice. LOL)
