"Ah, you saw me swim," Edric said and studied her before sitting on the ground near her. So she was not lost, and did not seem to mind the company either. "Did something happen?" he inquired.

"I have had quite a trying month." She replied, "My father was ill and then passed away." She studied her hands, and bit her lip deep in thought.

Edric narrowed his eyes, connecting this to the recent events. Of course he had no idea what any of the nobles looked like, save for some that stayed in the same tavern with him. "I am sorry to hear that," he said quietly. "I know what that might feel like."

The girl looked at him, "Yeah." She was about to say more but just trailed off, "I am sure I am not alone in my pain.."

Edric was silent for a while. "Does your family know you rode out here all alone?" he finally asked.

She laughed and shook her head sadly. "You would know if they had."

"Ah. And were they here right now, I would probably get arrested for abducting you. Am I close?" he asked, studying her.

"About ten feet." She replied with a slight sarcastic smile.

"Very funny," said Edric, but smiled a little despite himself. If she was who he thought, he had no idea how to proceed with this.

She sighed and started to rise, "You are about to do something noble aren't you?"

Edric stood as well, but was pretty sure she did not need nor want his help getting up. "I won't do anything you do not want me to," he said and raised his hands to prove his point. "Technically, I am pretty sure I am not allowed to."

"From my experience very few people obey my commands." She replied, "It is good to have one loyal vassal."

"Happy to serve," said Edric and bowed, although the gesture was meant as a half-joking one. "First order of business?"

"Let me think." Most jokes Edric knew were far too crude to be considered appropriate so it took him a while. "A Dornishman is having dinner with a noble lady he is courting, but has failed to impress her so far. They are just sitting in silence and she looks quite bored so to get any kind of reaction out of her, he jokingly tells her: 'I poisoned one of our glasses, but I forgot which one.' Unimpressed, she looks at him coldly and replies: 'The way this dinner is going, I hope it's mine.'"
