Formally known as "Gale's Wind", the Keep granted to the Hightowers is located on one of the more southerly islands in the Stepstones. The Keep is now known to many as "Hugh's Keep". The current lord is Ser Gareth Hightower, brother to the Lord of the Far reach.
Built upon a rocky outcrop jutting out of the coastline, the keep is three quarters surrounded by water. The entrance to the castle is quite dramatic and involves a steep climb around the rocky base. The corner round tower has been turned into a makeshift lighthouse, a little reminiscent of the Hightower in Oldtown.
A small village lies inland to the south-west of the keep.

As he rode closer, Hugh's Keep looked in good condition from the outside. Gareth rode up to the gates. Halting just outside he called up to the couple of men he could see patrolling the battlements.
"I am Gareth Hightower, the new lord of this keep, appointed by decree of my brother Gwayne Hightower, Lord of the Far Reach. Open the gates."
